bathroom is strange. the shower is very bad. there's just a leaky curtain. what about glass?

Our window was right next to a building under construction that started loud work between 7:00am and 7:30am each day. I was not aware of this before arriving. The room got quite warm and there was no fan, so the only option was to open the window, which made the noise even worse. Besides that, I was very happy with our stay.

Considering the price and the reviews, we were expecting a basic accommodation, which was fine since we intended to spend only one night there. Indeed, the hotel needs a complete refurbishing. However, this would not have been an issue if the personnel had been welcoming and attentive. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and it quickly became evident that no one cared about us. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast, with frozen croissants which were so dry that they clearly were reused from the day before. I don't think I am a difficult customer, but that's just unacceptable! Additionally, during the 45 minutes we spent eating breakfast, no staff were present. We had to find a table free of leftovers from previous customers ourselves. The orange juice was from the cheapest brand you can find in Switzerland (M-Budget) and the coffee machine had a message indicating it needed cleaning. Furthermore, many items (fruits, vegetables, cheese) were missing after only a few minutes, but no one bothered to refill them. Again, we were expecting a basic accommodation and were perfectly fine with that. But a hotel cannot operate with just one person at the desk and no other staff whatsoever. Finally, when we checked out, the receptionist did not care to ask whether we had a pleasant stay. This was emblematic for our whole experience with this hotel.

The location was excellent. At the center and near the train station. The street is also very quiet.

Nice interior design though one of my room (out of two room)that restroom ( barth room) does not exist a separation glass cubicle to barth so it was really difficult to manage with curtain.. Please arrange cubicle with glass for each bathroom to separate to water spread.. Except that all are exceptional..

Nice location near to Meirgien station.. Each exists nice beds with good blankets and relaxing nice interior design Good room. Good interior design.

The light sensors are not fast enough

I like the property have lift for heavy luggage. The room is so clean that the stuff will clean it every day. They are so nice to put my stuff gently even my room is a mess.

- Very bad value for the price (CHF 270 for 2 adults + child for one night) - Very old building, desperately needs major renovation - Highly neglected infrastructure - Rooms are a joke: - Toilet door not closing because it touches the floor - Torn curtains - Scratches on all wooden features and on wall - Towel and bricks lying on the small roof below balcony. This is disgusting and could be dangerous for people/cars - Many small damages/shoddy work in the bathroom - Ridiculous breakfast: - Not much choice - Bad quality of bread/croissants - Tables were not cleared at all after people finished breakfast - Asked for a yogurt. Answer was they did not have any anymore because they forgot to buy them - Partly unhygienic (e.g. there was mold/dirt in the egg basket) - Toaster only partially functional - No employees seen in the breakfast room - Bad service (or what about no service?) - Employee parked big van behind our car during night. We had to use the car, but were unable to leave. Had to call the number written on the hotel entrance to have the van removed by an employee. Of course he had a lot of excuses - Smell of fried food everywhere in the hotel - There were so many bad things, I can't remember all of them. Worst hotel I have experienced in Switzerland, a true rip-off - It seems they want to squeeze every bit out of the clients without investing anything at all before the hotel falls apart and has to be rebuild

Location quite central and free parking spots. Those are about the only positive things to say about this hotel.

Great location, 5 minutes from the train and bus station. Very quiet area with great views. Lovely restaurant in the hotel with amazing food. Staff was able to tend to all our needs.

Property is almost 40 min away from Interlaken Ost. But train Journey from Meiringen had nice views.

Our stay in Meiringen was quite nice. Had good two days there. Property is near to Meiringen train station. Staff is pretty helpfull, as they favoured in the night. we got our pizza from Supermarket and had it baked from them. They happily agreed even though they had their own pizza restaurant. Really like their Gesture.

We ordered 2 family rooms premium. One was renovated and ok but second one was only partially renovated and the bathroom was absolutely old, like from 1970 s. The mattress on twin bed was very thin (maybe 10 cm).

The food was good, breakfast was normal but ok. The food in restaurant was very good, we tried pizza and pasta and everything was tasty. Beer and wine was also very good.

Great stay in a cozy lodge. Loved falling asleep to the waterfall just outside the lodge and loved the clock.
