hotel from the outside not very appealing; smell of cleaning agent in the room when entering; no real selection of cereals for breakfast; shower was rather large but narrow, it happend several times that I accidentally turned off the water with my elbow.

The bed is too soft, the pillows same. The hallway and balcony look very outdated, it could really use a renovation. It’s a pity it is left to look this way but maybe people like to travel back in time.

The hotel is nice and has great view. In the middle of Engelberg, well connected to everything. Good breakfast. Clean room( including clean balcony) and nice staff.

Excellent bedroom with very comfortable beds and plenty of space. Lovely views fro the balcony. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of everything. The Restaurant Urchig was very good, but with a somewhat limited choice of dishes. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly/ .

the service of thie resturant staff is poor.

I liked everything. And I met the director of hotel - Grazia, she was so kind for us. She presented small braslet for my sad dauther and we both were happy!! This smal woman has a big experience to manage the people. I wish her to have a nice team and big hug for her. The staff in reception was nice and solved all our problems. Danke for them. But the staff in restoraunt aisrude a little bit and so slow( I travelled a lot, but the service of thie resturant staff is poor. The Food in general and breakfast was good, espesial the warm pancakes) I

The swimming pool was miniature, it's too much to call this hotel a spa hotel.. people might take this hotel especially for the promising spa and get disappointed by the size of the pool.

The bedroom doors do not block the noise well, so you hear people talk in the hallway and all other noises. The rooms are not available until 15:00. The hotels lobby is not very tasteful decorated.

It’s situated in the centre of Engelberg. The location of the hotel is convenient. The bedrooms are ok and spacious. Good value for money. Nice small pool. Garage. The bus stop is in front of the hotel.

Rooms are clean but outdated, terrible pillows and lack of light in the rooms. No children allowed in sauna. Some rooms have coffee machines and tea kettles but ours didn’t, not sure why. Plenty of socket outlets but our standard European adaptors and OralB original European plug would not fit- sockets too small.

The hotel is located in easy access to ski lifts in a very convenient and beautiful location. Clean rooms with daily cleaning services. Good quality breakfast for children and adults. Lovely spa area and good ski storage room. Staff very welcoming and kind.

The only thing what we didn’t find exceptional in this hotel was Spa&pool, the rest was amazing! The pool feels crowded with only few persons in it (because it’s really small). It’s kind of more for kids, but in the same time from my point of view dangerous for them. It’s pretty deep (?1.65m maybe) and has only one (!) stair entrance. It’s constructed with high edge so that even an adult strong person would struggle getting out of the pool without using a stair. The Sauna part is ok, nice rest rooms, only not enough space and showers for a comfortable use. As it is “naked” area, there could be more than 2 little showers practically together.

Great breakfast (except coffee, if you like expresso); and dinner. Easygoing and friendly staff in the restaurant. Really nice apartment! We were amazed how big and comfortable it was. I somehow didn’t realize how spacious it’ll be. Very comfortable ski room downstairs with direct exit to ski bus.

Mattresses

Good family hotel, good location, warm and comfortable. My only draw back was hard mattresses, which effected my sleep. No mattress toppers available. We also were not able to make a reservation in the hotel restaurant during the evening, so I recommend you book in advance of your stay. There is a good asian restaurant and steakhouse close by however. The spa is lovely, nice pool and good sauna. And the breakfast is decent for families too.

The room was way too hot, opening the balcony door wasn't a great option either as smoking on the balcony shouldn't be allowed or at least it should be on separate sides of the building. The spa area was overcrowded with just two saunas (one wasn't even working the first day), and a very small pool. Hence, I definitely wouldn't call it a wellness oasis.

The view from the balcony, the location and the breakfast were amazing. The size of the room as well as the cleanliness were good as well.

The pull out bed from the couch was not the most comfortable, but it is a pull out bed, so one should not expect too much from any pull out bed.

Very friendly staff, hardy and tasty breakfast, and a very nice spa. This Hotel was wonderful for my husband and friends and I for a mountain getaway. The location is also very central and a short walk from the train station. Would highly recommend!
