We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandI had initially done the booking for 10 persons (6 rooms) but on checking in I informed them that we were only 9 and asked for breakfast. But I was charged for 10 and they just refused to refund the money for the breakfast.

Very friendly staff. Warm welcome to a very pretty, casual country guesthouse. Nice open plan bar and restaurant, prettily decorated with a good menu. Clean simple bedrooms.

United KingdomThe room, although exactly as described and shown in the photos. The sloped ceiling was too low and claustrophobic, there was no Aircon and despite a thunderstorm the room was very sticky. I must stress, this is more my expectations, as said the room was exactly as described.
The staff, particularly Claudia, were excellent. Claudia spoke excellent English and was very friendly, chatty and informative she couldn't have done more and deserves praise.

A really lovely room in a nice property. Choosing to stay a little further out from Zurich was much more affordable and gave me a chance to see this deligtful town.

The restaurant is very nice and we had a nice dinner there. It's popular with the locals. The breakfast was extra but was good. They brought to our table ham, salami, cheese, bread and rolls, orange juice, jellies and Nutella, yogurt and coffee. The room was color coordinated and clean but simple.

GermanyNo fridge in the room. However there is really no place in room for it. If you absolutely need to chill your Cremant, hosts will share their fridge I suppose:) They are really friendly!
Ideal accomodation for car travellers, located in remote and quiet area. Great value for money! No chance to find similar in Zürich, it's more expensive there. 30-40 min from Zürich center, 10 min from Rheinfall. Seems to be family hotel rebuilt from old private house. Obviously with no 24h counter. However lady on reception waited for our arrival that was around midnight! You can warn about late arrival by phone, Room is not large but very well designed. Towels, shower gel are available. Very comfortable bed! Adaptor for unique (but idevices compatible) Swiss power outlet availble on reception. Euro are accepted.

United KingdomThe room was pleasant enough, modern and clean. There was a fan provided but the room was in the original roof space and so was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning. The restaurant charged us 5.5 Euro a litre at the restaurant which seamed excessive.

SwitzerlandWe booked the room for our visitor, whom we offered the stay in Rafz. His first impression of the hotel was: “I entered through the main door and all restroom doors where open. It didn’t look very inviting.” We called the hotel before the visitor arrived and made very clear that the stay will be payed by us and not the person who will stay in the hotel. We even offered to pay the full amount before the actual guest arrived, since we live nearby we could have payed immediately (what we even offered) We were reassured that it won’t be necessary to stop by, they will charge it on our credit card. Unfortunately our visitor was asked to pay by the end of the stay, what we Only realized after our card wasn’t charged by the day we were told it will be charged. We are very disappointed that such a simple task could not be executed correctly by the staff. We got put into a very uncomfortable situation. We informed the hotel about our experience by email but unfortunately never received an answer.
The room was clean. The hotel offers free parking.
