We had to walk up the road to the sister hotel for meals and to check in. Think the guests staying at the hotel saw us as the poor relations and would have preferred us to stay in the guest house.

Breakfast was very good - amazing cheese board. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Spacious clean room.

For visitors staying at the Gasthaus it is a bit of a walk to check in and get breakfast at the main hotel.

Reception is in another building 5 min walk away from the guest house. The room is really small. Elevator only reaches the 2nd floor, but there are rooms in the 3rd floor too!

For the price of a guest house room you get a 4-5-star breakfast in the main Jugendstil-style building with a view

the guesthouse was perfect for us: young family plus dog. it was a little away from the main hotel but had everything we needed and was so clean. the breakfast at the main hotel was sumptuous!

There is a church very close by and all the people in the village need to know every 15 minutes - also during the night - that time and the church are still in place. Sleeping in the guesthouse, there is no getting away from the sound of the church bells. The bathroom is more a closet than a room. Everything works and is clean, but for bulkier people this will be an issue. Although the breakfast is nice, if you come before 9:00 in the morning, the kitchen is closed and there is no cooked breakfast possible. That is odd.

The Gasthaus - belonging to the Hotel Paxmontana - is well situated with beautiful views. The beds are comfortable and the basic room is tidy and light. For Swiss terms, a good price/quality balance. Breakfast in the hotel is nice.

Too many bells during the night with the church right next by. Tiny tiny shower cabin.

We didn’t understand why we weren’t hosted in the great building. Instead we were hosted in the gasthouse. 🤷‍♀️

wow what can I say the location is like a dream. we had been driving all day from the UK and at check in we were upgraded to the hotel which is on another site 5 mins walking away. the hotel is grand and fabulous!

No wifi in the room, only in the main building (where dinner and breakfast are served)

We stayed here for 1 night with our dog. The town is very small but very cute. The mountains and its surroundings are beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel for a 1 night stay (especially during spring). Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Service was great and food super delicious. Breakfast was okay, tasty but can't be compared with dinner.

The bathroom was tiny. The guest house we stayed in was away from the restaurant site, so we had to go out for breakfast and dinner. The receptionist could have been more helpful describing how to find our building.

Beautiful location. Away from the noisy and touristy areas. Lot of places to just walk around and explore. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. I loved it so much here that I will definitely visit again.

Loved the remote and peaceful feel of the location, beautiful grounds, spacious accommodations and delicious breakfast. Also, within walking distance, one can visit the churches, walk the stations of the cross, see the historical buildings, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The apples were a nice bonus.
