The hotel is older and in need of some repairs. The room was on the third floor and there was no elevator.

The location is excellent - close to the path with all of the waterfalls.

We felt that place need some TLC. Hotel saw its better days. A bit shabby but great for money.

Really old building. Book only if you can get a room with a balcony. Other rooms are really dull and small.

Check in was up to 08:pm however we reached hotel by 6;30 but No reception staff was available .

There were a few things not quite right. Nothing of note but a number of things, like the floor under the beds wasn’t swept, the patio needed washed, some floor molding was missing, the shower wand holder did’t hold the shower wand firmly, and the shower doors didn’t seal against each other.

Nice location in Lauterbrunnen. Breakfast was available at the hotel. Comfortable room with an outdoor patio to sit on and enjoy the the view.

Cleanliness was poor, bathroom with mold across the ceiling, beds were old and hard as stone, restaurant bathrooms were either out of order or extremely unclean

Got the room with the perfect view of the waterfall, was worth every downside to the stay. The staff was very friendly and service-minded. Very good location. Free parking (but a very small one)

Some expected amenities were not present. For example there was no Kleenex. There were no glasses in the room. There were no wash cloths and the bath towels were not changed during our 3-day stay. The balcony area floor was dirty and had a weed growing from a corner. One morning there were cigarette butts on the balcony floor probably from a higher room. It was a spartan, basic, no frills type room.

The location was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to park our car which was important. The bathroom was recently updated.

The central room light did not work. There was only one single PowerPoint which we needed to use for the fan, so weren’t able to charge anything.

It was very clean and in a good location. Breakfast had a good range of food (although we had to pay extra). The staff were polite and helpful, and allowed us to check in early which was great.

Check in was very informal. It was basically the restaurant. No paperwork (not sure that is negative or a positive). Bad signage. Parking was extremely limited and tight and where alternate parking was located the vehicles rear bumper was almost in a very narrow road. The duvets on the bed were 'strange' and inconsistent. They were very comfortable but too hot at times. There were no glasses or cups in the room. One of the bedside lights was not functioning. There was a teapot to plug in, but the cord didn't fit the outlet. Asked for a guest card that offers discounts in Lauterbrunnen but they didn't have any.

The location is out of this world! Lauterbrunnen is an amazing place. One of the most beautiful places we have ever visited and we have visited a lot of places. The WIFI was excellent but confusing. The staff was great. Very accommodating and comped us a meal because of some of the other problems (see below). The food was excellent.

The overall cleanliness was a concern

Breathtaking view of Staustaubbachfall waterfall from our room and the stunning Alpine view near the hotel. Basic amenities such as shampoo/showel gel and towels are provided.

The value for the accommodations. In retrospect, I would much rather have paid more money to stay at a nicer facility. The room smelled funny. There is a fair amount of hallway noise that comes through. The beds are mediocre.

The location is very nice. It's in the middle of town. Access to the large waterfall and other attractions is a plus.
