Everything was perfect

First impressions were how friendly and accommodating the staff were - they went above and beyond. The breakfast was exceptional, the room was spacious and clean, the hotel was well situated (very good restaurants nearby, in fact both the ski lifts were in walking distance)

There was no elevator, which could be an issue for some people with mobility issues. The shuttle bus could’ve been closer but really a five minute walk to the shuttle bus is pretty good. The shuttle bus took you to any of the three major lifts accessing the Zermatt ski area.

The breakfast was fabulous. Huge variety of cereals, fruits, fruit salad, yogurts, meats, cheeses, and scrambled eggs. Superb coffee. The room was clean and bright. The bathroom was fabulous with a huge bathtub and nice strong hot shower. And of course, the view of the Matterhorn from the room was spectacular.

Difficult to find!

Comfy room, a little oldish but very alpine, good bed. Nice breakfast, very well-heated room. Nice service. The Matterhorn view from the shower! Very good value for money. A few minutes on foot from the Kirchbrücke shuttle bus stop. Very well-centered, 10 minutes on foot from the station, in a quiet part of Zermatt.

There was nothing not to like.

The room was cozy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was great and delicious. Our balcony looked directly onto the Matterhorn, as we had booked the balcony room with Matterhorn view.

Breakfast was great and plenty. We did not have a room with a view (balcony) and unfortunately could not upgrade. However, the view of Mt Matherhorn could be seen very clear from the bathroom as you showered! That was very cool.

There is a steep walk up to the hotel, thus not easy when you carry your luggage to the hotel

Only that the bar never seemed to be open when we came back in the evening :)) ... Otherwise, just the minor irritation of building work taking place next door - but it was round the corner out of sight, actually very little noise, and of course only during the day when we were out most of the time. And naturally this was not the fault of Hotel Dufour.

Everything! Very friendly lady at reception - very comfortable room with tea and coffee - stunning view of Matterhorn and balcony with beautiful geraniums - quiet location, just far enough away from the busy main street but still central - ample breakfast in bright cosy breakfast room, which was never crowded.

Construction was going on next door. However they started at 8 am and we needed to be up to go hiking so it didnt bother us.

It was great!

Went to Zermatt on a whim to hike, and booked this hotel last minute while walking thru town. It was outstanding!! We stayed in room 15– highly recommend that room (book the double room with the “landmark view”). Ended up with a stunning sunset view of The Matterhorn right from our balcony! Also the bathroom in that room is super cute, the ceiling opens above the tub for a really neat vibe. Lovely little place! The innkeeper was kind enough to get us a couple of to-go cups of coffee as we hurried out for a day of climbing, but the breakfast spread looked stunning!! Truly wish we could’ve stayed longer. A great place!!

All was perfect, though the hearing should be automatic, but never turned on. Good thing was the blankets were very warm and the heating in the bathroom was on a switch you can control.

Great place, good facilities, relatively good location. Excellent and very helpful staff. Good breakfast also included in the price.
