We loved the old-world charm with modern amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem and there was plenty of parking with easy access. The view is amazing! And, whilst located high on a hill, access to the old town is easy and pleasant riding on the funicular. We enjoyed our stay very much!

If you are going to splurge a bit, this Chateau is well worth the extra dollars, so luxurious, amazing view, the breakfast that was included was amazing and we were treated like royalty, mini bar included, the room was so clean and comfortable, all amenities were of the highest quality

The hotel is perfectly situated, offering stunning views of Lucerne. It's very calm, and they provide a complimentary ride on a small train (90 seconds). The staff is excellent and friendly, and the breakfast buffet, which also overlooks Lucerne, is fantastic. The atmosphere is very romantic, and the rooms are beautiful, making it ideal for couples as well as families. Alexander Botero, Front Office Manager, was fantastic and made our stay unforgettable

Parking also use by others not hotel customers. Breakfast same type and selection every day ,with limited selection you can still find quality there.

Location and view. Parking in front with a lot of spaces available. Old style equipment but same time modern ,good quality and comfortable to use. Good service and friendly personnel. An extra fan in the room ,balcony with lake view. Park next to hotel - you can live in city but same time a lot of trees around, quiet and relaxing place.

The funicular up the hill wasn’t working, however we were offered a free bus pass.

This place is stunning. The interior is great, and the views over the lake and city are special. Particularly good bar, with great cocktail menu. The restaurant is very fancy and expensive, but the food is good. The rooms are not huge, but very comfortable. The building is iconic, and has a real wow factor.

This hotel is away from the old town area but this is something I knew before I booked the hotel. We just used Uber to go back and forth. The biggest disappointment was that the funicular was not available because of maintenance.

Excellent, historic hotel with a great, friendly staff; we had booked a room with a balcony and a view, and were very happy with the room.

Beautiful location over looking the lake and mountains , friendly staff and exquisite restaurant. Might be considered as a bit expensive but definitely worth every penny

There was no kettle and tea in the room, which is common even in other less expensive hotels. Also, we missed slippers and some hygiene items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, which we expected from a hotel of this level. The price for a room was pretty high, but I guess it's quite normal for Switzerland.

it was the best view from the window we have ever had. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel room was quite bright and comfortable, with a large balcony and a beautiful view.

A really beautiful room in a wonderful castle. Amazing view over Lucerne. 3 chargers for electric cars for free (2 for Tesla, 1 for all). Delicious breakfast on the terrace.

A pity the funicular was not working during my stay. The carpark lots are small.

My room was clean, spacious & quiet. The breakfast room was beautiful with an awesome view overlooking Lucerne. Pet friendly hotel. Excellent service by the front desk manager, Alexander, who was very helpful and thoughtful. Very good service from the waiting staff at the breakfast restaurant too.

I'm not sure if information was sent on how to get to the hotel when you are checking in. We walked up all the steps!

The view was amazing. We ate breakfast every morning and it was perfect. We had dinner in the Lounge and it was the best meal we had on our trip. Everyone was so nice and patient with us because we only speak English. The Hotel was unique and beautiful. I'm so glad we chose it!

Pricey, even by Paris standards, but then again Switzerland appears to be one of the most expensive countries in Europe. And, at least, we received excellent accommodations, views, and service for our money.

The perfect spot for a celebratory trip to the homeland of my ancestors. Quite expensive, but worth it. The hillside location affords a spectacular view of the city, lake, and snow-covered mountains - especially lovely from our spacious terrace. The room and bedding were superbly comfortable and bathed in natural light from huge windows and French door. The fridge was re-stocked daily with water, juice, and beer - gratis. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. Wonderful cheeses, cold cuts, lax, yogurt, fruit, fresh juices, absolutely wonderful pastries, croissants, and various breads, extensive hot items - eggs, sausage, pancakes and omelets to order. Excellent for dinner as well. From the cheerful and helpful driver who picked us up at the train station and then delivered our luggage to the room - to the attentive chamber maids - to the welcoming front desk staff to the marvelous restaurant servers, the hotel's SERVICE went above and beyond. Six stars! Just one example: a front desk clerk who, on a Saturday evening, after hours when no businesses were answering their phones, managed to track down a chauffer's private cell phone to arrange a car to the Zurich airport the next morning. Despite the chilly and cloudy weather, our stay at Chateau Gutsch was a joy and we hope to return soon.

The impressive historic building is well taken care of. Our room with a view and balcony was in excellent condition, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed a small but thorough selection of the complimentary mini-bar. We were pleasantly surprised with how the old-looking window isolates outside noise well. The reception team was very tentative, and the barman was superb. After enjoying the evening concert at KKL, the late-night snacks and choices of cocktail selection easily exceeded our expectations. Due to work on the funicular, the shuttle bus service was very useful, and the drivers were friendly, too. Overall, we are delighted and are already looking at availabilities for future concert dates.
