Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is amazing. A lot of the shops and restaurants were closed but the actual village was beautiful. We visited the Italian restaurant Da Sina twice it was so good!

Great views from our windows. Perfect size for 3 adults. Kitchen had everything we needed. Having access to laundry machine was key. Very quiet part of town, can only hear the waterfall. Beds and linen comfortable.

SingaporeNothing major really. Would have appreciated if they provided tissue paper (not to be mistaken with toilet rolls which were provided). Also would have found a non-stick frying pan helpful. Several pots of different sizes were available, we used that instead. Found pillows soft. But perhaps just different personal preferences. I prefer firmer pillows. Apartment will need ventilation to prevent feeling moist or humid.
Location looks far initially on the map, but it is a pretty level road from the train station, so it is actually very walkable. Wengen is mostly on a slope, so quite a few accomodations will be uphill or downhill, involving quite a climb one way. Apartment was in the basement, so low ceilings, but was spacious, and clean. Kitchen was well stocked, with an oven available. We cooked dinners daily. Laundry room available as well, though I didnt use it. View of Lauterbrunnen valley from the apartment was great. Attached a photo. Heating in apartment worked well. Check-in was managed by Interhome. Staff were professional and informative. Check the opening hours of the office, and do communicate beforehand for any early or late check-in/out hours. They provide very good solutions and/or information.

SwitzerlandChallenging to find the apartment , same for the recycling stations. Guests are expected to recycle at the station which is far from the apartment ?? No frying pan in the apartment, no microwave either. The advert on booking.com should clearly state that Wengen is not reachable by car, that guests know this before booking as this will not be obvious for first time visitors. Stating this, they will incur additional train ticket costs to get up/down the mountain on a daily basis. same for the Kurtaxes, this was not made known upfront on the advert.
