Lovely chalet next to a beautiful mountain stream and a view of the Matterhorn. Comfortable beds and really top notch facilities. The kitchen and bathrooms are incredibly well equipped with modern appliances. I really enjoyed my stay.

We did not have many complaints at Chalet Turbina. Our host was communicative during our stay, but did not respond after we had left and had some questions for her. One thing to be expecting in Zermatt is to travel everywhere by foot, and for everything to be on a hill. The grocery market is 15 minutes away, though it closes at 5pm, which is early for American visitors. However, there are multiple (pricey) restaurants that are open until 10p, so plan your meals accordingly and enjoy yourself, you're in Zermatt!!

Location was incredible!! At the edge of Zermatt, right beneath the Matterhorn. What more can you ask for? We were not expecting a full kitchen to able to make any dish we desired, that was a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and the locked storage space sufficient for our needs and suitcases.

The bus to the location had broken down so it was a long trek to the chalet.

The best beds of any hostel I’ve stayed in! Great views of the Matterhorn. A stream of water running by that helps you fall asleep. Close enough to the town; but far enough to feel isolated. Would stay here 10/10 times!

Quite far away from the train station, make sure to take the bus especially if you are carrying bags/suitcase.

Quiet location with beautiful view of Cervin. Confortable room and bed (bed linen and towel provided), clean and big bathroom. Very nice comon space and kitchen. Easy communication for the booking and arrival guidelines.

This is by far the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. It doesn’t feel like a hostel at all, it feels like a home. There are little details that make a huge difference, like the assigned closets, free coffee and other little items available to use, like spices and condiments. The whole place is spotless and the kitchen has modern appliances. The location is away from the busy touristy area, tucked away in the woods next to a stream. The whole thing was just lovely and I would return in a heartbeat

Perfect accommodation in Zermatt! Great value for money, good location with a beautiful nice of the Matterhorn. You can find everything in this house - comfortable rooms, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room etc.

The guy snoring. Also, the path gets very dark in the evening, and a bit far from everything. You should not mind walking 15-20 minutes to town.

Everything was good

The property has everything you need - full equipped kitchen, a room where you can watch Netflix or Apple TV if you’re tired after hiking all day. I felt like it was a plus point that I could just walked off the door and start my hike. I’d advise to buy groceries in advance so you don’t have to go to the city that often.

It’s far from the centre, about a 30-minute, mostly uphill walk from the train station. So once you leave for activities or whatnot in the AM, you’ll probably stay out all day as it’ll be out of your way to go back there during the day. Saying that, the walk to the hostel is lovely as you pass through Zermatt.

The facilities were great: Nice, clean, and organized kitchen and dining area; cute and cozy attic lounge; beds with curtains; spacious lockers for each guest; comfortable shower with good water pressure. The host was responsive and addressed my questions in a timely manner via the Booking messaging feature.

Location is bit away from the train station (about 30 min walk) while the cable car station is about 10 min walk. I had problem getting hot water but in any case I didn't complain since I didn't need it that much.

The bunk beds are wonderful as were the living + kitchen area. The view of Matterhorn just from outside was awesome. Toilets were clean and not at all smelly.

Too far from the train station, a walk to the bus that runs every hour, I had a heavy luggage and wasn’t easy to drag it up to the Chalet! My fault. Good 20 Minutes walk to the Main Street

The main shower head worked well. But the extra 'rain forest' shower head caused the bathroom to flood. Just a warning.

Holly and Niamh were very helpful and lovely to interact with and allowed us to leave our bags somewhere safe when we checked out.

One of the best Hostels I've stayed in. The location is a bit far from the central station, but it is very calm and perfect to start the hiking trails. The building has a classic swiss aspect from the outside but it is very modern on the inside. A very good and comfortable accommodation in general.

Very clean, the place was away from the village so it was quiet at night and the Matterhorn can be seen from the property. The lockers were big enough to store things and I like how you only need one key to access everything that you need. The staff was always very helpful as well.

It was quite a long walk to the main part of Zermatt but the (free) bus could pick us up very close to the chalet.

Very clean, the amenities (kitchen, bathroom, etc. were amazing and very up to date) would absolutely stay here again.

Nothing! Genuinely a perfect stay :)

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at! We were shocked at the price, especially in Switzerland, where a property this wonderful could cost triple the amount to stay. The double room was perfect for two people on the go. The kitchen was clean, well stocked, and easy to use. The upstairs movie room was a treat to unwind in after a day of hiking. And the VIEWS! Just a few steps outside the door and you are greeted by a magnificent view of the Matterhorn and a field of wild flowers. Yes is it a little bit further out of town but the peace and comfort of the stay is totally worth the 10 extra minutes of walking.
