The rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked. A lot of effort went into making this chalet feel homely.

We had to remember to duck under the 5.5 feet doorways but apart that it was brilliant.

It was the perfect location in Lauterbrunnen with a lovely walk along the river into town. It had beautiful views of the mountains. The facilities were perfect for us. We loved lighting the fire when we returned, the kitchen had all we needed and the washing machine and dryer were excellent and convenient. Our host Dave was exceptional - super lovely and so kind to pick us up from the train station and return us with our luggage. We were sad to say goodbye to it.

Not for tall people. Worth it for one night though!

Great place close to Lauterbrunnen. Be careful if you are tall! I’m 6’6” and despite being careful bonked my head a few times. I had to duck on the whole first floor area.

Nothing, all excellent. However, beware the cat that is around, she is friendly and loves a stroke but avoid doing so when she lies down in front of you, you'll get a scratch!

Well equipped and cosy, like a home from home. Dave and Patricia have thought of everything. Dave gave some great recommendations, was super friendly and picked us up and dropped us at the train station, impeccable host. Chalet is only 15 min walk to town, along the river, which means you're close to everything without being in the busyness of Lauterbrunnen. Amazing views out of the windows!

Very little, maybe that the hot tub cost was too much to justify making use of it.

Location was amazing and great views over the valley to the waterfalls and over the stunning mountains. All facilities were great, kitchen and equipment was ideal for a family holiday - including a fondue set! Loved having Wilson the cat with us! Outdoor space and seating next to the fire was our favourite bit. Thanks to Dave for fantastic advice on where to visit during our trip.

The one bathroom is tiny. If you don’t have a car, the walk into town is on a fairly busy road. There might be a footpath but we didn’t see one.

Great location, by the river, 5 minutes outside of town. Perfect if you have a car. Nice rooms and beds and efficient little kitchen. Very nice owner.

The host (Dave)was very kind and helpful. Overall our experience was wonderful, The location is magical and 15 minutes walk to the train station through a beautiful trail. We have nothing to complain aboug and would highly recommend to family's visiting lautrabunan.

Chalet Elza has amazing views with a homely feel that was well equipped. It was great to be out of the business of Lauterbrunnen. Host was amazing and very quick to respond to any questions.

The one and only thing that was challenging were the low ceilings and doorways for my 6 foot 2 husband.

We loved staying at Chalet Eliza. Dave was a fantastic host. He met us at the train station, drove us to the chalet and helped us throughout our trip with planning. He was extremely responsive and wanted to ensure we had a wonderful stay in Lauterbrunnen. The Chalet is charming and in a picturesque area. Easy walk into town and the train station. When we come back we will definitively stay her again!!!

It really felt like home. It would be good if we stayed longer. Dave was helpful carrying luggages. He also messaged me before arriving to the house and the message was surprisingly turkish. We really liked his way of caring for the customers.

Absolutely nothing we didn't like.

This was our best stay during our Swiss trip. Stayed 4 days at this comfy chalet with the most incredible views and surroundings. Its a 15 minute walk to the railway station and you can take a forest road as suggested by the owner Dave and its beautiful,along a stream. Had a nice little fireplace in the living room with electric heater in the two bedrooms upstairs. Fully equipped kitchen means you can whip up your own food, especially since most shops close down by 6pm in this area. Theres a common room for doing your laundry, a sauna and even a hot tub outside which you can rent looking at the beautiful scenery. To top it all, Dave is an excellent host. Went out of his way to pick up our luggage from the railway station, since we had a sudden change in plans due to unstable weather. He also dropped us off at the station at the end of the stay

Low doorway between kitchen and living room - no problem for me but my 6ft partner banged his head a couple of times when he forgot to duck!

Great location with a view of the mountains and a lovely stroll into town. Well equipped house, gorgeous bedrooms, fantastic log burner and a hot tub and sauna! Exceptional hosts, very friendly and full of great tips and local knowledge.

That we didnt stay longer

Was an idyllic chalet with gorgeous views and only about 800m from the town centre (can walk or there is a bus). Was very warm and comfortable. Our family of 4 loved it. Very close to ski slopes (we only tobogganed). Kitchen had everything you could need and was a washing machine and dryer. Great for a family with lots of washing to do.
