Beautiful room with a balcony with a view of the mountain, The room was spacious for a single. The breakfast was lovely and you had a large selcetion to choose from. The hosts were nice and helpful giving advice on attractions in the area. The location is excellant only a short walk from the station and it is a very good base for travelling to various villages and cities near to Gridelwald. I liked the green meadows surrounding the hotel and was good for relaxtion.

Access to self service coffee before and after breakfast hours would have been nice. And although we didn’t really need it in June, air conditioning would have been appreciated. We were able to open the balcony doors at night to cool the room.

Room 226 was quiet, spacious, comfortable and functional. We had a very comfortable bed, wonderful shower, skylight and a private balcony overlooking the village and the mountains. We loved the vaulted ceiling, wooden furnishings and central location. The owners were very cordial without being overly solicitous. Breakfast was buffet style, delicious and freshly prepared with local ingredients, the coffee selections served to your table. Windows in the dining room overlooked the glorious mountains - what a way to start the day! On the day we arrived and upon departure, we were offered a complimentary ride to the train station. It was a short distance but very steep so much appreciated.

Very close location to Grindelwald’s main Street, just up the hill. Owner Regula, and staff, Gabriela and Antonio, were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. We loved our spacious room and Mountain View’s!

We had hoped the evening dining option in the hotel next door had been available, as it mentioned on the website, but the web references we researched when we arrived said it was not open. Not a big deal, just a notice.

The hotel is a charming chalet-style building with interesting, cozy decor. The staff was very helpful. Alexander, one of the owners, gave us excellent suggestions for hiking and tips about the area, which we were able explore despite the rain. The hotel is located up the side of hill and had a stunning view of the area.

this lovely hotel is located right above the train terminal, making it easy to get to. It has a good breakfast and balconies to sit on to look at all the beautiful mountains. There is a sauna and jacuzzi to use after a long day of hiking.

Train station at the location is convenient. Lots of restaurants choices at the location. Breakfast was included with fresh bakery, savoury Hotel has a rustic lobby with countryside feel but the rooms are newly renovated and modern.

Of course this is no fault of the owners but having to climb that enormous hill was difficult

It was excellent. There were many local foods. Eggs and bacon were available on request. Everything was fresh and tasty. I was particularly pleased with the way the table was set for a formal meal and how I was able to order things that weren’t on their buffet.

The staff at the front desk were exceptionally helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent. The location was very convenient- a short walk from the train station, ski rental and restaurants. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The alps are stunning!

THE BEST stay for my first trip to Grindelwald!! Everything about this family run hotel was lovely - the people, the views, the room, the breakfast. I highly recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful stay - this is the place!! They made me feel so welcomed as a solo traveler, while checking me in late at night when my luggage was lost at the airport. This hotel felt like a home away from home. Thank you! I hope to be back.

Location was just perfect. The railway station is just across the main road. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I stayed here with my parents who are senior citizens, for 5 nights and they were very comfortable. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a Boutique stay in a Swiss style house
