Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe air conditioning didn't work properly so the room got stuffy and hot in the middle of the night. The other alternative is opening the window which worked for us because the weather is still cool (we stayed there in June). I can imagine that the room would get too hot during peak summer. There is no bar fridge so we wanted to try some things from the supermarket but had nowhere to store leftovers. The room is very small but good to only sleep at the end of a day exploring the gorgeous city..
Location was perfect. Close to the Old Town (walking distance) and there is a tram stop a block away but quiet at the same time. We were allowed early check in which was especially convenient for us coming from Australia. Bed was comfortable and they changed towels even for a short 2 day stay. Breakfast was very good.

United StatesWe had 2 rooms and neither had air conditioning. There is an air conditioning unit, but it did not blow cold air. If it weren't for the 2 fans provided in each room, we would've been uncomfortable.
This is a no frills hotel for a short stop in Zurich. The location is great, and it had everything we needed for a one night stay.

AustraliaThe absence of a small fridge so we had no option to buy drinks & food & keep in our room. In saying that, there was a drink vending machine in the lobby.
The location was great with the old town & plenty of places to eat close by. It was also a short walk from the train station. Good air conditioning, clean & comfy bed and the room was a decent size. Appreciated a few english channels available on the tv.

United KingdomParking is available in the form of a few allocated spaces in a car park several hundred yards away. Even though we paid for parking, all spaces were full when we got to the car park. This wasted over 2 hours of our time following our arrival. We ended up parking on the street so don't bother with pre-booking parking.

United StatesIt may be a bit dated but it is a very good value. Breakfast is pricey (but this is Zurich, everything is $$$) so grabbing food from the market was easy and economical for family of 5.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Location/value was outstanding Did not do their breakfast, as savvy travelers I did a 5-minute walk to the train station to pick up some Swiss provisions (the train station is an underground mall/labyrinth.
