We really enjoyed our stay here! We were in a Matterhorn view room and our view was completely unobstructed and straight-on. I loved sitting on the balcony each morning with a cup of coffee enjoying the view (the room had a kettle and powdered coffee packets). Our room was filled with light and a really good size for two people. I liked that it had a room safe and a fridge – convenient for storing leftovers and snacks. This was one of only two hotels we stayed at that didn’t provide a plug-in fan for the room but it gets cool enough in the mountains at night that it wasn’t really needed – we just kept the door cracked every night. This hotel is in a great location in Zermatt. It is a bit removed from the chaos of the main shopping street but only by a few minutes. It is on the other side of the river, which makes it quieter and also a little closer to the gondola station for the Matterhorn. I think it took us about 10 minutes to walk there from the train station, though there were also shuttles running frequently all over town if you didn’t want to walk (Zermatt is car free except for these – watch out so you don’t get hit!). I’d reached out to Hotel Bristol with a question about hiking poles ahead of our trip and they were very quick to respond and point me in the proper direction about where I could rent a pair (and at a discount, as a guest of the hotel). The friendliness continued when we arrived early, before check-in time. The receptionist was happy to store our bags and have them brought up to our room when it was ready, while we were out exploring. The other great thing about this hotel is the breakfast. It is included in the room rate and it is plentiful. Not only do they have the standard fruit, yogurt, cereal, and pastries. There is also a hot section where you can cook your own eggs and waffles.

Comfy hotel a few mins walk from the centre of Zermatt. Great sauna facilities, and lovely breakfast. Friendly staff.

You have to book the transportation to the train station which I think should be auto set up at regular frequency like every 00 or 30.

Probably the best hotel we could find in town with nice and direct view of Matterhorn. The facilities are all very new and the junior suite we booked is very spacious.

I requested an upgrade ( which guests ahead of me got) - but I was curtly told I would be getting only what I paid for. Giess solo travelers arent a revenue opportunity?

The corners of the rooms were slightly unclean but not too bad. The A/C wasn't strong but it was a cool night so we left the windows open.

Friendly staff, good breakfast and balcony! We only stayed for 1 night so had tight plans. The staff sent a shuttle to take our luggage so we could go from the train station to Gornergrat Bahn. The breakfast was great

The staff were so friendly and kind! The whole hotel was so cozy, the spa was amazing! Our room was excellent with a super comfortable bed. The breakfast was wonderful, they provide so many options. Will be staying here again if in zermatt again

We liked everything about this hotel!

Beds were very comfortable! Loved the patios and views from all 4 rooms we rented. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of yogurts, fresh breads, fruit, meats and cheeses and plenty of options for everyones tastes. Location is a short walk from the train and we loved exploring and being right by the river. We left our windows open at night for the cool breeze and rushing water. This was one of our favorite stays!

Very nice and centrally located hotel. Room is nice, clean, only a bit on the smaller side.You can enjoy the views of Matterhorn directly from your terrace. Very good breakfast and aslo free shuttle service to and from the station.

I had a great stay at Hotel Bristol. I came during the summer time and staying here makes me want to come back in the winter for skiing.
