Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

In August it was vey hot and there was NO ac. But Stuff was very helpful, provided us with standing fan. We had the room with balcony, facing the running river in front, was quite nice. Receptionist was very helpful with different tour options, which one was better, less crowded etc. Breakfast was very generous. Hotel walking distance from Bus route 9, in a nice spot in beautiful Lucern. I would stay there again, avoid the August temperature.

United StatesWe had a triple facing the backside of the hotel, so there was no street noise. However, the room was cramped and we were only 2 people. There was very little room for luggage.
Good location, 15 minute walk from the train station. Good breakfast, helpful staff. Quiet and comfortable sleep. No AC, but there were screens on the windows which was a nice touch.

United StatesRoom was super hot. Even with ceiling fans and a portable fan we got from the front desk, it was barely tolerable. Really hard to sleep when it's that hot and humid in the room. Being from the US, we're used to air conditioning so it was pretty tough for us. With that hot of a room, would have been nice to have had a room fridge to have cold beverages on hand. Also, the douvet is covered in a very pretty white eyelet material, however that material is very itchy/scratchy on the skin. Plain cotton or silk would have been much more comfortable.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Location was excellent. Room was very clean. Walking distance to all the good stuff, but on a quieter portion of the riverfront.
