It wasn't clear in the listing that the lake is a tourist destination with tour buses coming in and out. Consequently every couple of hours a tour group of 20-30 people would come in and congregate with all the other individual visitors and families. This detracted from the hotel being peaceful and serene - especially when the tour groups would all come into the hotel to use the restrooms. Also the hotel is a trek from the parking lot. The hotel had to send a golf cart to fetch our luggage and my mother who is in her 80s as she would not have been able to make the walk with ease.

The room was nice. The lake and location were exceptionally beautiful. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was very good with lots of options.

We couldn't fault this place. The beds were so comfortable, the spa absolutely perfect and the dinner and breakfast two of the best meals we'd had in a long time. On top of that the staff were outstanding and couldn't do enough for us. It was raining heavily when we arrived so we were given complimentary teas before being taken to our room (as it was an outdoor route and that way we could wait until the rain had stopped). Robert and Ute on Reception and Peter in the Restaurant were amazing, though all the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. This place is a little slice of magical luxury and we highly recommend it as somewhere lovely to treat yourself - and it's not even that expensive by Swiss standards, considering what you get for your money. We only stayed one night but felt so well-looked after and relaxed that it felt like much longer.

Welcome of Hotel Guests: My first arrival in March was entirely pleasant: a warm welcome from the receptionist, who kindly guided me to my upgraded room. However, this time around, the experience was a bit different. It seems that with the start of the season, guests were directed to pass through the restaurant terrace to reach the reception. Unfortunately, this route exposed us to an encounter with a not-so-friendly waitress who seemed taken aback by our presence, offering neither a greeting nor assistance. Her demeanor was rather unpleasant and somewhat disconcerting. It was disappointing to encounter such a stark contrast to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the hotel. Perhaps the management could consider providing a separate path or entrance for hotel guests during peak times, to avoid such encounters. Nevertheless, the staff eventually assisted us after the waitress called for a receptionist. Despite this, the initial encounter left a sour taste lingering throughout our stay. Despite the initial hiccup, I must say that I still adore the magic of this place and the incredible gastronomic cuisine it offers. For future visits, I'd recommend timing your arrival for the evening, when the hustle and bustle of lake tourists have likely subsided. This ensures a more tranquil and enjoyable experience. Overall, despite the minor inconvenience, I'm already looking forward to returning here again. The allure of this place is undeniable, and I can't wait to indulge in its delights once more.

Room was small and a bit dark, although overlooking the lake from a small window (on the top floor). Would have preferred a regular one but bigger and normal shape - although we didn’t ask to change I admit as it was supposed to be an upgrade. Small details like no trash bin in the room and no cleaning during our 1,5 day stay still couldn’t spoil the overall very good impression!

The hotel is very special because of its location next to the amazing lake! Very good food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful personnel. Beautiful lobby and restaurant overlooking the lake.

The entire place is so magical ✨️ 😍 💖. The hotel staff, the hotel, the spa and massage, the nature park, everything was absolutely gorgeous. Also, visiting the little villages around Blausée is a must and take the cable carts up to the mountain from Kandersteg village

Nothing to be disliked!

Absolutely everything! Most of all: The staff were incredibly friendly and made the unfortunately rather short stay very special! The food is excellent. The rooms are superb so is the cleanliness!! The Location is an absolute gem: amongst a natural reserve with a lake containing crystal clear blue water!

For breakfast, it would be great if some cold meal could be served as buffet while the hot meal is freshly ordered and cooked. It would also be great if there could be some instructions provided in the spa area. We were kind of worried to open the doors in that area because we were not sure which room is private and which room is for spa.

Everything was wonderful. Location: The hotel is in the middle of the park and by the lake Blausee. No ticket needed to entre the park. Room: Our room was nice and clean, with hot water for shower which was a big treat and relief after our long hike. Restaurant: Hotel restaurant served a diverse menu, including the famous local trout. The breakfast was on an order basis but unlimited. Spa: We didn't have time to try the spa... Transport: Bus at the park entrance comes once every hour.

Noting to complain about my stay.

I got a single room, that was very small however comfortable. The location of the hotel is amazing, my room had a view to the mountains and it was beautiful. Breakfast is served from 8am and it is a la carte, I ordered an omelette with bacon and a crepes, delicious! Blausee Lake is incredible! I recommend to visit it.

Amazing location for a 'Auszeit'. I needed to get some work done & get away from "life admin" and the hotel was perfect. Gorgeous location, great food, Coffee available (nespresso) - spacious room with desk (THANK YOU!). Spa, hiking and friendly staff. They were so nice to let me work on my laptop for extended time at the table & in spaces. Can't wait to go back.

Everything! Comfortable room, facilities were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had free room upgrade which gave us a nice balcony view over the entire lake. There is also a pantry outside the rooms providing water and coffee. And the spa facilities for hotel guests are a must try! We loved the outdoor jacuzzi! And my wife is very impressed by the in-room hair dryer! It was the same model as the one she wanted… And the restaurant serves amazing food and a lovely morning breakfast. Their home bred trout dishes are simply amazing!

Honestly, I could not find one thing I didn’t like about this hotel even if I tried. Any hesitation will be waste of time.

Everything. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful, and even looked cheerful. Food was awesome. Both the breakfast and dinner were very good. I was surprised at the nice service during breakfast. The fact that you can eat and enjoy the view at the same time was a huge plus. The room was clean and pleasant. Shower was amazing with very strong water pressure and warm/hot water. And the spa! I have never experienced such a pleasant and spectacular spa. They had so many options - the jacuzzi, hot tub, dry sauna, wet sauna, etc. Definitely coming back for the spa. You can even enjoy the scenery during the spa. The view! Probably one of the most beautiful views even in the whole Switzerland. The Blausee lake is right in front of the hotel. A special shoutout to Peter! You were truly helpful and the hotel gave me another reason to come back to Switzerland. Hope to see you again soon!

The shower could have been modernised; the curtain gets in the way when you are using the shower and ends up in splashing the whole bathroom. Breakfast has to be ordered, a classical buffet approach would have been easier.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was really nice to have free access to the parking lot and the Blausee area. The hotel is a bit rustic but really well conserved and cozy! The free SPA was a nice to have and it was open until late for us to use. We did not eat at the restaurant but we could see the other guests enjoying the dishes and they looked very yummy.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, and I was impressed with the variety and quality of the meals offered. The hotel's location was stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery that added to the overall ambiance. One thing that stood out to me was their pet-friendly policy. I was able to bring my little dog along, and they not only welcomed him but also prepared a cozy bed and even provided food for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made me feel truly valued as a guest. They even gave him a little present, which was incredibly sweet and heartwarming. The spa facilities were top-notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the sauna, Hammam, and the highlight for me was the open-air bath. It was a unique and relaxing experience, allowing me to unwind while enjoying the breathtaking views.

After dinner we went for a walk around the beautiful pond, when we were halfway round the lights went out. We were quite late but it was too dark and a little eerie, luckily we had our phones' torch to use to find our way back. It would have been nice to leave the lights on till dawn but they make lovely efforts toward conservation

Loved the efforts the staff went to in order to fulfil our request for separate beds, they made up the sofa but it was like having two rooms, really accommodating. Breakfast and restaurant were fantastic. We loved the smaller portions, got to taste most of the menu and hardly any waste, wonderful concept and the food was excellent as were the staff. The spa area was fantastic, really in keeping with the surroundings, very private, lots of separate areas kept immaculately and the roll top bubble bath outside was a true highlight
