Shower in bath with shower curtain. no ventilation. no shower soap available. The room had an old look, needs renovating. amazing view to the church though!

Breakfast was superb, lot of choice, little plates of cheese and meat were wrapped separately (hygiene) what a great idea, gluten-free foods

The selection at breakfast was great, however I was a bit irritated by the fact that things were individually wrapped and packed which did not look appealing and I feel a lot of the plastic foil could be avoided.

Good location, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is designed with a lot of attention to detail. In addition to the rooms, the have lounges where you can play a game or sit and call after a day in the mountains.

We arrived by train about 9:15 PM and expected to find either a bus or a taxi at the train station but there were none. The hotel is located a few steps from the Pontresina Post and there is regular bus service from a stop there to the train station -- but it stops around 6:00 PM. We thought the hotel had a taxi or shuttle as Rick Steve's tour book said they would pick us up for free -- but that seemed to be a surprise when we called the hotel. Eventually we got a taxi -- but it would be good to have a plan if arriving after 6:00 PM.

Hotel Bernia has several common rooms that are available to guests to gather, etc. There is also a restaurant with a nice patio next door. Our rooms were comfortable.

The only problem I had was the shower. There was no way not to get the bathroom floor wet when taking a shower. They should definitely improve that

The walls were very thin…easy to hear conversations from the next room.

It was so cozy and warm. The location was great and the breakfast was awesome. The restaurant on site was both very good and convenient. The wait staff, especially Nicole and Ivan, were so friendly and helpful.

Pontresina is a good location. I got off the Bernina Express from Torino, Italy. There is a grocery store down the hill near by. Buses 60m from the hotel go to and from the train station. Also, I was able to take the bus to Samedan and to Punt Muragl funicular. I took the train to St Moritz and got on the Glacier Express there. If I were to stay longer I could have enjoyed many hikes and nearby places by train.

At breakfast, the ham and cheese was packed in cling film (Frischhaltefolie) - 2 pieces per plate - wasteful, completely unnecessary and NOT environmental friendly. Furthermore, in Graubünden there are so many nice local cheeses and hams so no need to have Gouda or Coop mass cheeses and hams served. The lady at breakfast, moved a couple already seated at an empty table having their food to the table on which their name was on - the breakfast room was almost empty. Rooms are really small and poorly soundproofed. Ours was directly facing the terasse, the same level as the terasse, which meant no intimacy at all w/o closed curtains.

The location of the hotel and the included public transportation and cable car card for the entire Oberengadin. The parking (CHF 15/day), from which you can go directly to your room. You could squueze your own orange juice at breakfast and it had home made vitamin shots.

Breakfast has only cold selection, but there is plenty to choose from, so it is not a big deal. No shampoo/shower gel available. The bath with the shower is a bit uncomfortable due to its small size.

Superpleasant and forthcoming staff, great location next to the supermarket and train station, breakfast since 7:15 which is great if you want to catch early train (i.e. to Diavolezza), hotel is a part of the local Engadin travel program and offers FREE transport (rail, buses and most importantly cable cars!!!) for their guests which will help you to save a lot of money

The rooms are a bit dated and the sound insulation not so great.

Staff is always accommodating and responsive, makes you feel very welcome. Location is great, parking is spacious, facilities offer everything one needs for a week-end escape.

breakfast in shifts, understaffed, one lady caring for all, needed to wait for table, running out of food in buffet. outside parking small, had no space, needed to pay for underground parking.

Restaurant at the hotel was average

Pontresina is pleasant and a much better place to stay than money magnet St Moritz. Many good restaurants were within walking distance. Did not have to use our car during our stay with the excellent free transportation system. The hotel has a good breakfast and a few free parking places.

We had a very comfortable triple room which was very big, like two adjacent rooms, a large bathroom with bathtub, a walk-in closet - unexpected! The mattresses were of excellent quality. We had dinner à la carte - dishes exceeded our expectations as well. Overall, the cozy atmosphere, and last but not least, the kindness of staff highly contributed to this great stay.

All of it. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The single room was comfortable with a great view. The breakfast was very tasty with special juices and müeslis etc. The sauna a nice plus. A great stay.
