This hotel is a gem, the location gives you the views that no other hotel in the area can give because you are literally 3/4 of the way up a mountain. How many times in your life can you say I needed to take a 15 minute gondola up to my hotel? It was a fantastic stay and one of which I will be talking about forever. Love it!!!

Need more details about the drive.

We loved the location and scenery. It is challenging to drive up to it but doable. The staff is great and the rooms were clean and comfy. Dinner was very good and prices were resonable.

We stayed on the ground floor , only downside was the people upstairs were pretty noisy during the daily activities and it felt as if some one was walking on our head . Probably wooden flooring with less underlay . But was not a show stopper . The drive up is on a narrow road but a confident driver with a decent car should do the trick .

Very clean , well maintained , excellent friendly and well informed staff , amazing fresh breakfast and very tasty food on the restaurant all of this with a breathtaking views of Grindelwald . This is also located right next to the gondola which goes up to Grindelwald first where all the adventure activities take place .

People were Smoking and talking all night directly under our room and bright lights on until early hours of morning. Private bathroom was down the hallway not attached to the room, can be annoying

The restaurant is really way overpriced. I do not mind to pay a serious price for good food, but here the price/quality is completely out of balance. A small simple watercolor for Thea or coffee on the room would have made even better.

Perfect location away from busy and boring Grindelwald. Next to cablecar station . Easy accessible by car. Road is safe and easy.

Location- because it’s located halfway up the mountain, driving up the mountain on one car width road. If you don’t like driving by cliffs like me, get yourself ready for an exciting ride :) driving in daylight is recommended.

This hotel was absolutely charming. Once you get to Grindenwald, you take the Gondola half way up the mountain to this hotel. The views from our room were breath taking, dinner in the hotel very good, bed super comfortable. It was the perfect way to experience Grindenwald. Breakfast was included.

The personnel at the reception was not particularly friendly. There were lots of flies all over the place including food at the breakfast.

It is worth staying there for the view and true experience of the mountains. The family room we had was very stylish and spacious. Everything extra clean and modern, great bathroom! It had everything we needed. The dinner and the person serving us the dinner were absolutely fantastic.

Breakfast. The range of food was good, but when you see flies crawling over some of it, it sorta puts you off eating it. We steered clear of any foods that were uncovered. The staff need to simply cover the food adequately. Flies in the orange juice and the milk really put you off.

A great place to stay. Waking up in the morning to the Eiger right in front of you was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful
