Very pretty and cozy hotel, we loved the Swiss alpine decor and feel. You can see the love the family has put into the hotel for generations. Everything was a delight.

Can’t fault this place, I can’t recommend it enough.

Exceptional place to stay. The location 10 min walk from station, up a small incline. They upgraded my room without asking. The room a double had a side balcony with excellent view of the Matterhorn. The outside is traditional, the inside of the room warm, modern facilities, beautiful bathroom, walk-in rainfall shower. Bed was cosy, no noise at night. The staff went out of their way to make my stay perfect. Breakfast exceptional selection they make the bread, cakes, pastries, biscuits in house multiple choices of each every day. Cheese night for dinner a must do.

Blown away. The view from the terrace is worth the price alone. Lovely and very cozy hotel. I visited in October and sitting out on the terrace with a drink, warmth of the sun, and the Matterhorn dominating the view was one of the highlights of my 3.5 week trip around Europe. It’s just a few minutes walk from the center of town, albeit up the hill a bit. It’s a decent workout walking up, but that’s pretty much every hotel in Zermatt.

The rustic decor was a big plus. Our room had a view of the Matterhorn from the balcony - that was a treat!

We love the balcony view and I take an amazing video of Matterhorn in the early morning standing in our balcony. The moment I saw the sunrise gradually on the Matterhorn, I thought the trip couldn't be worth more. Breakfast was also very good and the view from the window was amazing!

It's not that I didn't like it, but be aware that the hotel is a bit uphill, so the access to the hotel can be tiring for the elderly or people with difficulties. However, they have a shuttle service with electromobiles for those who need help.

The staff is very kind, the breakfast is fantastic with all the self-made breads and pastries, and the view of Matterhorn is wonderful! Rooms are spacious and comfy. I left a dress in the room, and they promptly emailed me asking if they could send me per post. That was very kind.

Google maps doesnt show way properly. There is a fair bit of incline on the way to the hotel from the main route (from the church). There is an alternative route which we came to know about later which is easier. It would be gr8 if the hotel keeps a map of this route on the website

View from the balcony. One can see the matterhorn peak exactly as shown in the pic. Staff attitude was good and all were very helpful.

I really liked the way that all the staff engaged with the guests and made them feel like family. Even a minor issue like a sunburn was treated with a grace and respect that is very much appreciated.
