Booking.com, for some reason, had put it through as a booking for only one person so there was a difference in charge when we arrived. I have no issue with this but it should have been informed at the time of check in, rather than when we went to pay afterwards. Luckily, it was a minimal change in price but had it doubled, it would have been a bigger issue. I don't really know what the additional charge was for as it was the same room as if I had been the only guest anyway; assuming for the extra towel that was provided for guest 2? Food is amazing but as expected for Switzerland, expensive. We ordered water for the table but apparently you need to specify tap water? Lovely water but expensive at over 8CHF per litre. There is no fridge in the room and the location is remote so you're somewhat tied into eating in their own restaurant unless you have a car. As other reviews state, the rooms can get hot in the night and opening the window was not an option as it's right on the road which can be noisy, either from cars and buses or loud rain, in our case. We had a coffee machine in our room but unfortunately it didn't work and just leaked all over my husbands feet. The shower was small and tight but sufficient. We checked out on a Saturday morning and luckily, I realised just in the nick of time that there was only 1 bus that day and it was due in 4 minutes so we had to rush. It would be ideal if they informed people who are checking out on a weekend that there is only the 1 bus running at 9.22am; had we not checked, we would have checked out at 10 and then had to do a 3 hour boat journey to get to where we needed to go, from what I found on Google. The above is not necessarily complaints, but little things that would have been nice.

The setting is stunning and the food in the restaurant was great. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We loved its proximity to the lake, and that it had a beach bar for dinner. Perfect stop over en route to Italy from France.

The location is absolutely amazing! Just over the lake with the Swiss Alps as a backdrop. Really worth the 20km + 20km detour from the highway.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Yes, the room didn’t over look the lake as some people have mentioned, but you are steps away from the water and who wants to sit in the room looking out when you can be outside.

The location was fabulous, as were the people running it. Lovely food in the restaurant and drinks in the beach bar was something else. breakfast lovely too.

The room was beautiful and clean, staff went over and above, true hospitality at its best and the food was exceptional! The tour ecesability to transportation by boat was great to local tour boat by foot. Beautiful piece of paradise!

The location was awesome. The rooms are as described quite basic, view to the street but perfectly fine for a overnight stay. Make sure to go to the connected restaurant, the food was great, very kind staff and the view is gorgeous.

We didn't realize (some of this could be on us since it is a cultural norm) that Switzerland shuts down on Mondays and how REMOTE this property is. We booked for only Monday night and didn't realize that upon arrival, the hotel and restaurant would be closed. Considering we took 2 trains and a 3 hr ferry to get to the hotel, it was a very disconcerting situation. Felix, the manager, made us pizza and was so kind- but, had we known, we would not have booked.

Morning traffic behind the windows, but we knew it was tine to get up anyway!

We loved it. We jumped in the lake in the evening and early morning, restaurant and staff was very nice, we enjoyed our dinner tremendously.

Few of the employees both looked like and seemed like they did weed or similar at the moment, which wasn’t very comfortable. The employees were not serviceoriented. Also, the lights on the bathroom didn’t work. We ended up leaving during the evening due to our unsatisfaction.

Road behind the property was slightly closer than expected. Room could've done with a Hairdryer especially seeing as swimming in the lake was an option next door to the hotel.

Location of hotel is breathtaking, the restaurant on site has incredible views and is styled beautifully. Very modern and the decor of the whole place was very well done. Staff were all super friendly. Room was perfect for what we needed, nice and spacious. Location was great for hiking, Uri is a beautiful region to visit.

the room was overlooking the street and you could hear the cars passing by during the night - the light and vent would take a while to turn on in the bathroom

The location was great right at the lake. - the room was big and clean - bed was comfortable - had restaurant and a bar - free parking for hotel and restaurant guests however limited places during lunch time it might be hard to find a free parking

The room was lovely, the idea of the themed room is really nice. the area is great. the view of the room and restaurant is amazing, is to die for. the hospitality of the owners is really great. there are a lot of hiking courses around, Lucerne is 30mins away. for sure we will return for a longer stay:
