Long way down to kitchen but not a problem!!

Superb location for us as we're interrailing with heavy backpacks. Straight out of the station! Room with a Matterhorn view was excellent and great decor and nice bathroom. Useful kitchen in the basement, fully equipped for cooking or just a coffee. Very friendly reception staff.

The kitchen was a bit cramped, but that’s not the property’s fault (there was a very big tour group staying there)

Checkin was easy, the lockers locked using the keycard, wifi was great. It’s in a great location and at a great price. The bunk was comfy, there’s like three different supermarkets nearby, just super great.

The location is right across from the train station and very close to Gornergrat cable car station. Nice kitchen, bright and big. The room are comfortable. The staff were great.

No elevator had to carry heavy bags to second floor. Uncomfortable bed and pillow. Woke up with back ache.

The hotel location was too good - right in front of the train station and less than 3minutes walk to the supermarket + the town. Facilities were very clean even though they were shared and the kitchen is extremely well-stocked! The staff are all very friendly and helpful as well. Our room was super cosy and had lots of space - it really helped that we had our own sink in the room as well. We had a really pleasant stay and will definitely be back!!

Minimum staffing…could only get in the building where they left the key to the room with the help of other guests. Also no elevator, not easy when you have to carry the luggages up four floors.

I think if the beds just had some sort of curtain to give a bit more privacy in the shared rooms, that would've made the stay even more comfortable. They could've also proactively offered the towels and toiletries upon check-in.

I always stay in hostels when I travel and this one is so far one of my favorites, particularly because it felt like I was staying in a proper Swiss home. I stayed in a shared dorm-type room, and it had this beautiful wooden interiors mixed with some modern touches. You can choose your bed in the room and each sort of had a different layout. The best part was the view as it was directly facing the old town and you can even see a portion of the Matterhorn. The bathrooms were clean and functional. The reception has a lunch break and they also go at night, so you have to be particular with the time if you want to check in with some assistance. But generally, the staff were really nice. They have a cave / ski room where you can leave your luggage in case you came early or if you need to check out early as well. Not to mention it's literally next to the train station and the Gornergrat train station if you're going up to Matterhorn. I would definitely stay in this hostel again.

Best location. Next to the gornergrat bahn and a few minutes to the sunnegga bergbahn. Next, The 2 ladies who were cleaning the whole building are doing an awesome job. Spotless clean. Lastly, thanks to the manager for making my stay even better. Great hospitality. Will stay here again in the future

The manager gives this hotel a great atmosphere. She is friendly, and very helpful. The Bahnhof is centrally located, clean, comfortable and has a great kitchen and living room area. As a solo traveller this area is important as I prefer to make my dinner rather than be in restaurants.

Perfect, just 20m from train station, enough space for 2 adult and 3 kids, it it not mountain view room but I still can see Matterhorn from our room. I use laundry just for CHF2.00 and dryer cost me CHF2.50

Not many shared showers/toilets if you stay in the dormitory room, so it might be "crowded". Beds in the dormitory don't have any kind of curtains so you may lack some privacy. Kitchen also can get crowded as it's shared among everyone.

Located very close to the train station, easy to access. Stuff was very helpful and friendly. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. I stayed in the dormitory room, it was relatively spacious and clean but not the quietest place.

Location is excellent - just 1 mins from station and Glacier Express., 2 mins from TI Restaurants and supermarkets are also couple minutes away, nice walk up through town to the town hall and museum Gornergrat tram is across the street from the station, and Rothorn tram is a few blocks away Traditional design, but has been recently renovated - everything is 200% spotless and modern fittings, etc. Bedroom is comfortable, large shower unit The downstairs basement is a common area - sitting / dining / laundry and kitchen area. The large kitchen (someone posted a photo) is fully equipped with 3 stovetops and storage etc. Quite popular! we loved it since restaurants can be quite limited in choice and very expensive

There’s no lift so you have to lift your bags up yourself

The shared toilet on the ground floor was dirty. The bed bunk doesnt have curtain. It might help if someone wants to wake up early / stay late and wants to switch on their own light, and the curtain might prevent them from disturbing others ( with a great bright personal light). It was me, and I feel like I was disturbing others who sleeps early.

Super close to train station and Gornegrat railway and on the flat ground. Close to the coop supermarket and walking distance to restaurants and bars. There’s an e-bus that can take you to Matterhorn glacier cablecar / the other side of the town. Kitchen was clean, has basic utensil you can use. The place was quiet and cozy.

The toilet on the ground floor was sometimes dirty and the basement bathroom was dusty.

Staff Aggie is very accommodating and helpful. You have privacy because the beds are on opposite direction. Very nice spacious common kitchen.
