Funky, quirky boutique hotel Friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, comfortable quiet room

The room was hot and unfortunately the street was busy and very noisy, so it was a challenge to keep the windows open. Around 1-2 am things quieted down. There may have been rooms on another side a little quieter. We found out on check out that there was a dial for air input. That might have helped had we known about it. Not sure what it did as it wasn't ac. We stayed mid June and would do so again temps in the high 70s.

This was a very smart, funky and fun hotel. The staff were all amazing friendly and helpful. The shower/bath was large. the room a good size with good areas for two people and luggage. Great location - very close to old town Luzerne and about 10 minutes walk to train all flat. The breakfast spread was amazing. The best in all our travels, truly from egg casserole to cook your own, cheeses, pastries, yogurts, seeds, nuts, fruit, honeycomb. It was worthy of a magazine spread!

What a fun hotel! Loved the decor and ambiance. It is located on the intersection of two main streets, about a ten minute flat walk from the train station. While we were on the edge of the touristy part of Lucerne, it was certainly very walkable to the Riverfront, restaurants and shops. It was one of the more reasonable places we stayed in Switzerland, but also one of our favorites. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal and we also had drinks in the bar one evening. Great atmosphere.

We adored this boutique hotel! The staff was so welcoming and had great suggestions for alternative activities due to the rain. They also had loaner umbrellas. The buffet breakfast was the best we’ve had in any hotel. Fantastic location walking distance to train station and old town. The only point deduction was the pillows were really flat. I layered two additional throw pillow and this helped the problem immensely

Coffee machine was stuck and not working. As previous guest, might have put the coffee capsule the wrong way around. However, the hotel staff should have checked but did not. I managed to clear and fixed it myself. Apart from that, there was no other issues.

The hotel is close to the main train station, maybe 10 minutes walk. Breakfast was fine for me, as I don't eat much. So, scrambled egg, bacon and croissants were just enough, and coffee was good. We managed to check-in 2 hours early, which is a bonus. Room was clean, as expected. Room size is just what I expect from European hotels and just right for two people. I also love the music they played in the restaurant.

Nothing needed improvement.

The room, 410, was on the back side of the building and very quiet, with a decent view and a large balcony. Our friends had mountain views in the front, but they said there was more street noise, with the windows and doors open. All the "10s", 210, 310, 410, etc probably were the same as our room, which was great. Breakfast was delicious, the coffee was so good. We ate a good dinner at the same restaurant, also. Parking is self-park in the zone around the hotel for about 15E per day. It was easy to find a place. You can pull right up on to the front sidewalk to load and unload your car. Don't obstruct the bus lane. Location is perfect! Lucerne is a very beautiful town!

The rooms were beautiful: very clean and updated with a unique decor. The staff was very kind and helpful, always available to assist with any needs. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of foods. Finally, the location was centrally located, easy to get to the train station for all day trips and close to the sights of Lucerne. Overall great stay!
