The kitchen wasn’t the cleanest hostel kitchen I’ve had, but it was still fine - it’s not the hostel’s fault

Gorgeous location obviously. It was the first hostel I’ve been to in ages that had a sense of community. The room was comfy. The owner is great and the owner’s dog is lovely.

Everything! The location was amazing, the facilities were amazing, the staff were amazing. Never had a hostel with a trampoline out the back that you can jump on while viewing waterfalls. Johnny, one of the team, is one of the most helpful receptionists I’ve seen to date. You’ll never find a better hostel shower than the ones here. If you’re going to Switzerland and staying at a hostel, this is the one you choose!

I booked this place on a whim to explore the Bernese Oberland area, and it exceeded my expectations. The place has such a cool vibe!! Johnny is so kind, the best. There is a wonderful dog. It’s also super cool to peek at the base jumpers sorting their things. I was a bit hesitant about the showers in the basement, but they were well-lit, clean, and added to the cool industrial aesthetic. The location itself in Lauter is beautiful, I think I discovered a love for hiking I didn’t know existed, and since everything was so close I could sleep in a bit and still do a hike every day. This was exactly what I needed on my little career break :) I will choose this place when I want to explore the Jungfrau region again.

Since it's a hostel and has a common kitchen open to everyone for use, not all guests are equally mindful about cleaning the utensils and dishes properly.

The location of the stay was beautiful with the staubbach falls right behind the hostel. The view from the room was quite good. It had all facilities like a common kitchen, laundry (on payment) etc. They have bicycles available which you can use to go around the beautiful country side road along the stream just behind the hostel.

The hostel is in a very beautiful location. All the facilities here were good! Enough space for dining n outdoors for groups. The best stay ever! 141 bus stops close to the stay, which is just opposite to lauterbunen station.

Nothing really but just to note that the rooms were warm but we just slept with the window open which was quite refreshing.

Friendly staff in a serene and stunning location just out of town but within walking distance to everything. Only took the bus when we had our luggage.

It's a bit of a hike from the train station and the main town (restaurants etc) but worth it. There is a bus stop very close that you can take from the station and goes through town. Not all rooms have a view of the falls so you may want to request that.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and laid back. Great environment. The location was stunning along the river with a clear view of the main waterfall. New showers were great too!

The location was perfect, with the lauterbrunnen valley waterfall just minutes away, right behind the hostel. There is a bus stop 2 mins away and a quick 15 min walk to the main city. The view was breathtaking. The hiking trail was wonderful around the area.

Amazing location!! We had an upstairs room looking into the valley. It’s a short walk or bus into town. The hostel included a table tennis table, games room, an industrial kitchen plus more. This was a great place to stay if you’re on a budget.

I was going to bed early because I was hiking all day. Often guests would be talking until late at night. Often talking past the 10pm lights out.

Staff was very helpful. They gave me hiking advise and helped me with questions about the area. It was perfect for the budget minded traveler that don't need a lot of fancy amenities.
