Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe only downside to our room was that the shower was quite small, and the actual bedroom itself was tight. But neither of these were deal breakers.
Hotel was located close to the train station and the main shopping venue. A very convenient location. Our room was in the back of the building and had a very large balcony with a great view. We didn't expect that. The staff was attentive, and the breakfast was good. Note that the shower and toilet were in the bathroom, and the sink and medicine cabinet were in the main room. This arrangement was neither bad nor good for us, it worked well. And finally, the area that the hotel was located in was quiet, and didn't disturb sleeping.

Would benefit from having a receipt system and found mine were kept outside the luggage room left unattended and someone had left some small discarded stuff on top of my suitcase.

United StatesCheck-in is at an adjacent property—the Continental. The Alphubel sits back off the main street and is surrounded by other properties. No mountain views. The property is showing its age and was pretty expensive for the amenities.
The location is an easy walk from the train station and offered one (yes, one) family suite that could accommodate our family of four—a rarity in Europe.

United StatesI was unable to charge my Android / Samsung phone in my room even using the 3-prong adapter the staff loaned me. Only time in my 2 week trip in France, Italy & Switzerland that I had a problem.
Really delicious breakfast. Room very basic but very clean. Very good location and very close to train station - only 0.2 mile walk. Rate not cheap but cheap for Zermatt. Glad I got to visit such a beautiful and unique place.

The location was great. The email with directions was very precise and helpful. The breakfast was good.

Nice hotel in the middle of Zermatt, 5 min. walk from train station. Fine breakfast included in price, helpful staff (in neighbouring hotel )when we arrived early. Many rooms have a balcony with view of valley and mountains, Garden, where we could sit.
