We had three rooms altogether, ours had a pungent stench but not the other two rooms. Stench gone once we opened up the balcony doors to air the room. The basin/sink was small and had to be careful not to knock into the cabinet that is placed right on top of the small basin.

Excellent location, excellent price point, value for money. Staff at check-in was efficient and friendly. Balcony offers gorgeous views at the upper floors.

Pillow was too soft, the platform lift was small, and need to take turn if you have big luggae.

Super good location, 5 minutes walk from Zermatt Station, with a lot of eatery nearby. Breakfast was good with well selected food. Room was bigger than expectation, the mattress was ok, however the pillow was too soft, hard to support your neck.

We chose Hotel Alphubel because it is in the city center and close to the train station. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have a balcony with views of the snow-capped mountains. The staff was very attentive and concerned about our comfort and well-being and always available to help. Hot water kettle for making tea or coffee available if requested.

However, I did encounter some difficulty with the accessibility. Climbing 6-7 steps with luggage to reach the lift was a bit challenging. I also recommend providing a tea and coffee maker pot in the rooms for guests' convenience.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to the railway station, which made it extremely convenient for travel. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. Additionally, the breakfast offered was very good, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. Despite this minor inconvenience, my stay was pleasant and I would still recommend this hotel for its excellent location, cleanliness, and quality of breakfast.

The breakfast was just okay compared to other similar establishments. The vegan options were not as plentiful as in Germany, Spain,or Scandinavia and not many fresh veggies as in Spain and Italy. Also no hair conditioner. Also, hotel had no reception except next door.

Well-located. Easy to get to from station and to see the town. They stored luggage for us and check in was calm and efficient though lots of people arriving at once.

Elevator was old and unique, small. Hall was dark and old linoleum at end of hall, Had to check in next door. Hard to get into tub was high to step into and bathroom small and dark but didn't effect our stay and good time.

The room was a little stuffy, and the beds were not very comfortable. We only stayed here a night so was ok.

The only item worth a critical comment was the shower. I was aware from previous reviews that the bathroom was a bit outdated, which for me, is a non-issue. Being in a single room on the top floor, the tub/shower ceiling was on an angle and required that I stoop a bit in order to stand under the shower; I'm a woman of average height. Managing this was not a big deal for me, but I can imagine for other, less agile travelers, it could be.

Location was great. Room was super clean and comfortable. Check in (next door at sister hotel) was easy with friendly staff. The woman facilitating the breakfast was the BEST! So pleasant and helpful with any and all needs/requests.

Mentioned in our reservation electric keetle but the fact, not available in the room, no tea/coffee cup. Happened the guest next door too noisy late at night, quite disturbed.
