Most amazingly beautiful hotel with stunning views from the terrace and from our room. Spotless. Spacious. Comfortable. Gorgeous high quality, wood and metal furniture throughout. Staff were so friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage 4 days earlier while we hiked. Delicious breakfast. Cannot fault anything. Well worth the walk uphill to get here. You will not be disappointed!!

Hospitality was on point, we had a very warm welcoming from Martin, the hotel is absolutely stunning, we could see Matterhorn from our room.so clean, very cosy, everyone was super friendly.

Beautiful mountain lodge located a short uphill walk from the centre of town. The small walk was worth it for the peace and quiet and beautiful views from the property, and the walk isn’t even necessary if you get a short taxi ride.

The hotel had such a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was incredibly kind and courteous. The hotel was spotless, breakfast was delicious, and their coffee was amazing! AlpenLodge is off the main area but easily accessible and the views are amazing.

Best​ view ever, overlook the whole of zermatt and Matterhorn. Exactly what you see from the photos. Very friendly owner, they even provide small snacks with coffee/tea in the afternoon. It's this small yet appreciated things that amazed me. Room was clean and comfy. Nice Bath soaps are provided. It's located on the higher ground which mean you have to walk up slopes, not a problem for me, you have to earn your views! Taxi is provided for those staying 2 nights and above, if not, you can purchase taxi coupon from hotel at 15chf per trip. Advice for u is to book early.

They were great hosts! I felt taken care of even before I checked in. Once I arrived, they provided awesome recommendations for things to see, do, and eat. The view from my room looked like a postcard, absolutely gorgeous. If I ever get the chance to return to Zermatt, I'm definitely staying here again.

Terrace area could do with a clean up as strange placement of plant pots etc. were annoying as affecting the view. We spent alot of time out there even in winter. Also it felt like a "shared area" would upgrade to balcony if affordable for privacy.

Beautiful facilities and breakfast was wonderful. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would reccomend to stay!!

Nothing! Only thing to watch out is that you confirm which exit to the station the taxi will be waiting. There are two, we went out of the wrong one and ended up paying for a taxi as the driver persuaded us he was there to pick us up! (He wasn’t, our taxi was at the other exit!)

Staff and owners/managers were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, good variety and eggs cooked to your liking if wanted Afternoon homemade cake and tea - amazing! Room was modern, clean, large and had an incredible view of the Matterhorn. Gowns and slippers provided for the wellness. Sauna/steam room was clean and modern The hotel is about 17 min walk from the centre however we really enjoyed the walk. It’s also up an incline but this gave us fantastic views over Zermatt. There is a heated ski room however we used the ski lockers at the top of Sunegga as we didn’t fancy the 7-10 min walk back uphill ( a good move!)

A little bit of hike from station. But worth it

Room spacious, comfortable, sofa bed big enough for our child to sleep, the food was delicious, matterhorn view from the balcony. Memang best dapat healing kat balkoni. It is at hill top so u can view the whole zermatt village from the hotel.

It is not really a flaw (it is actually the price to pay for the great view) but there is a 5-10 mins uphill walk from the city centre.

Everything was simply perfect! Everyone was super attentive and the hotel itself is very cozy and clean. The view from the room was stunning. Price/quality is very good by Zermatt standards. Breakfast was good.
