What a stay! wish I could stay longer... .The facilities (room (family suite) and wellness/spa) were super - very welcoming and fine .Breakfast was a treat .Location was exactly what I needed Looking forward to my next visit :)

If we had planned MORE time there!

We asked for rooms with a view of the Matterhorn and both rooms had great views! The breakfast was wonderful, a lot of variety and all very tasty. The staff was superb! They were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. A delight to interact with!

I forgot that the place wasn't adult only and my brain wasn't able to get around that there's a loud child in the pool area (my own fault). but I went to the spa/sauna area for a bit of quite time and that's exactly what I needed.

I really loved the place. The room was incredible and modern and perfect for one person for once night. The spa was also quite nice. I well def be back!

I can't express how amazing this property was! From the staff, the SPA, and the overall experience of staying here. I would 1000% recommend staying here if you're visiting Zermatt. This hotel knows exactly what they're doing to make your stay amazing. 5 stars all around!

The waste bins inside the room were very small for two adults and a toddler. I’m just highlighting this because that’s something that can be improved, but we also noticed that that was the size of the bins in pretty much every hotel in Europe.

Location. View of Matterhorn from the spacious balcony outside the room. Spacious room and bathroom. Staff was very courteous. Also got a free taxi to the train station during checkout. Facilities like pool, indoor games, et cetera. Our room got upgraded as well.

The staff was so helpful. The hot tub and pool were really nice and needed after a hike. The breakfast buffet was really extensive and very good.

1. No window net to prvent mosquitos in the room. So it is struggled to open the window. It may be hot during summer time.

1. The swimming pool and spa is the best! Especially the outdoor spa. You could see the mountain view in outdoor spa. 2. The Matterhorn view room is very good! We watched the golden Matterhorn while sunrise. 3. There are table footballs, table tennis and snooker in the entertainment room. We had a great time there. 4. Extra afternoon desert. Good quality cakes! 5. Good breakfast. 6. Comfortable room has various amenities. 7. Pick-up service while we just arrive at train station.

Everything was unbelievable exceptional

Amazing hotel, one of the best places I have ever been. Room incredible, balcony with views to Matterhorn and all. The breakfast selection was fantastic. We have one night eating at the restaurant and it’s was quite remarkable the experience that we both have with the wines, the choices and desserts.

Only the mattress was too hard and the breakfast is just simple as out of expectation Suggest to have more choice on the breakfast.

The hotel is located very close to the train station. Free shuttle bus is provided by the hotel. If you carried a heavy baggage, the hotel always welcomes to call and pick up or even drop-off. All the sight-seeing points are close by walking distance When you entered the hotel, you can feel they welcome you with passion and there was a good smell with aroma sth. All the staff are nice, they keeps smiling and say "good morning/afternoon" to everyone, it made me a very good impression. I was surprised that I was upgraded from single room to double room and with a corner of Matterhorn view by walking to the front garden from my room. The room is spacious and very comfy Spa and swimming pool is nice but I didn't use it. Surely and Definitely I will stay in Alpen Resort and Hotel if come to Zermatt again!!!!

The facilities are amazing! My wife and I enjoyed the Onsen and dampbed every night after our hikes to relax our body. The breakfast was also incredibly delicious and have various choices.

Nothing really, we fully enjoyed our time at the Alpen spa resort .

We had the top room of the hotel with a balcony which looked out over Zermatt to the Matterhorn, what a view to wake up with in the morning. The room was very nice with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. All the other amenities the hotel provided were very beautifully designed and perfect for a spa retreat when you get back from your adventure. The staff were very accommodating especially the all rounder man thanks Boss! There was one Italian woman at the desk who was a bit short with my wife but sometimes italians can be like that.

Further from train station to Breithorn but this was not a big deal and I would stay here again.

Great location, close to train station and local grocery. Spacious, clean, modern room. Had view of the Matterhorn! I love that there are so many things you can do while waiting to check in such as play tennis (they rent out racket and balls) or go to the spa. And they have a designated space to put away your luggage if you need to store it after checking out vs just leaving it in the lobby.

It must have been exceptionally warm days, but it was too warm for us to sleep in the room without airco. in the middle of August. The shower space in the room was a little small for tall persons, but there are lot of showers incl. those with lock at the spa area.

Walking distance from Zermatt station (very quick shuttle service available). Breathtaking view of Matterhorn from the room. Extended and very-well maintained spa facilities (including "Onsen" hot-tub).

Air conditioning was weak (we were literally dripping sweat in the middle of the night). Location could've been closer to the train station/city central, but it also could've been farther!
