Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Absolutely superb hosting, wonderful raclette for dinner and buckwheat porridge, bread, etc for breakfast. Experience to be living in a working Swiss dairy farm with milking stall and cheese-making in same building.

IsraelIt is outside of town and a little far away, shower is not very welcoming for guests and look like it's mostly for staff (but is available for guests)
Beautiful place, fabulous food, host made an effort to make some vegan options for us and everything was delicious. We got detailed instructions how to get there and what to do around and had a really wonderful time. Kids enjoyed looking at the cows. Staff very nice warm and helpful

SwitzerlandThe rain.... but, obviously, nothing that could be done about that.
Once we hiked ourselves up to Dadour (it poured rain the entire time) from the train station, Laura met us at the door, showed us around, told us how things, worked and shortly thereafter fed us amazing Raclette, excellent wine, outstanding cheesecake and more. This morning we had house made cheese (it's a cheese making facility), yogurt, etc. that was amazing! The room was clean and very comfortable.

This is an amazing place. A wonderful, monumental building high above the upper Engadin, in an amazing valley. The facilities are inevitably somewhat rustic. This is a workplace after all. However, everything is super clean. The room is small but comfy. Shower is shared with the staff working at the alp. Breakfast is super nice, with ultra fresh yoghurt like you never tasted before. Laura, who runs the place, is a very welcoming and helpful hostess. I really enjoyed every moment of my 3-day stay.

NetherlandsIt should be made more explicit there is no private bathroom. Normally this is always made very explicit when booking a room (either in the title of the room or in the description), I was therefor surprised to learn this on arrival. Further a plug and small lamp next to the bed would be appreciated. Despite these points I still think you should go here as this place offers a unique experience.
Beautiful location on the middle of a mountain. Lovely dogs. Experience life on a farm in the alps.

ColombiaOur arrival.
Our arrival was a nightmare and we came close to giving up and going elsewhere. The farm is well up the mountain and difficult to find. Our arrival instructions were not very clear and when we got lost and tried to phone our hostess she was out of cell phone range. Aided by a kindly young Italian woman we finally did make contact. I would strongly suggest that all arriving guests make arrangements to be met at the station. Once found, the way up is not that difficult and a 4X4 vehicle is not required. I had had some difficulty in learning that prior to our arrival. Another thing I did not realize is that lunch and dinner are also offered and are of good quality. There is also a bar. The free breakfast is quite wonderful with delicious homemade products. Once we arrived our stay was very enjoyable and a different experience, as hoped. The staff are an interesting group who have travelled widely. Getting up and down the mountain is not a problem and thus it makes a good spot from which to explore Graubünden and the Swiss National Park.

United KingdomI would say that maybe a lamp would be good in the bedroom and possibly an electric socket a bit closer to the bed. That's it. Everything else was spot on.
Laura was an exceptional Bed and Breakfast manager. She was attentive to my needs, friendly, knowledgeable of the local area and the nice hikes nearby and she made me feel at home. The bed was comfortable and the food was really tasty. It was amazing to see the people working with the cows and making cheese and yoghurt. All the products from the dairy farm were delicious. Ronja is the resident dog, she is super friendly and loves to go on walks with you which really made my trip. ❤️

NetherlandsFriendly host. I enjoyed the location at this milk butter cheese farm very much! You can start hiking right out the door. Breakfast and optional evening meal are tasty. Very unique concept. Recommended. In general we should all use less water and less energy. At this place they simply ask to take a short shower and save water.
