It was rather far from the town. I had read that it is 800 metres from the centre but the receptionist said that this meant 800 metres to the old town -I think he was referring to the first road that has old houses in it. This is confusing, it is probably 1.5 Kiloneters to the city centre and about the same to the fortress. There is no pavement on part of the road. We wanted to have a sauna in the morning but as it doesn’t open till 10am and checkout is at 11 am we didn’t think there was enough time. The pool looked lovely but wasn’t open yet.

It is an attractive hotel with nice balconies and bathrooms and a good breakfast selection.

Very nice location, near a silent forest, very clean rooms, nice sheets, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, balcony with view at the pool, great breakfast. The center is 5 minutes away with car.

Hotel was easy to find with large car park on site. very clean, comfortable and modern room. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good and buffet style. Restaurant was also good.

Veliko Tarnavo exceded our expectations as a stopover destination, as did our entire Bulgarian experience. Lovely people. The Park Hotel was a blessing being in a country area, a few km's out of the town. We arrived by train, and walked (with rucksacks rather than wheely suitcases!) from the station, through old town Veliko, which is quite a sight to behold, up to the hotel. Took us 45 mins, but it was lovely to do on a warm sunny eve. We didn't fancy going out again, so had dinner and drinks in the hotel restaurant. Great value and great food, friendly service.

To walk to the town is on a road with no sidewalk so it can be a bit dangerous

Please enforce a “no children policy” in the spa area. I know this is not the staff’s fault but some guests are very inconsiderate and think the spa area is a water park. Also the spa area closes at 19:00 which I believe it is very early.

The hotel is very pretty and located in a quiet area. The rooms and showers are modern and the restaurant was fantastic.

The staff was OK but was not able to assist with general information questions i.e. attractions.

A few minutes drive from the city center, surrounded by a green beautiful forest, with big and nice rooms a good breakfast, a balcony overlooking the forest from all sides, Free parking, outdoor pool in the summertime, Jacuzzi, dry and wet saunas. Great value for money.

Unfortunately, in winter and during the cold season, the two hydro-massage / jacuzzi baths and the saunas do not cope with the number of guests. The distance from the city is not great, but at night I don't know how safe the road is to do it on foot.

There wasn't many things to do at the hotel. We were pretty bored there. We read that there were board games at the hotel, but that wasn't true. Overall the hotel is good, but only in summer. I would not be visiting again in winter season.

I only liked the staff. They were really polite and friendly.

The hotel is really nice, the room was great, super clean and warm. Shower pressure - just amazing. Parking - free on site, the staff - friendly, asked for iron, got one straight away. Breakfast - huge selection. There is nothing to complain about. I do strongly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

Only twin beds, even in the apartments. I slept in between the mattresses. They could use a king size fitted sheets to at least keep them together.

Beautiful and well maintained property. Spa is a little basic, but still good for the area. It was super clean and cozy. Would return.
