Could feel the vibration of the bass from nearby party bar (though not the noise itself).

The arrival is easy, kind and precise. The Hostel is by far one of the best I have ever been to. Very comfortable beds, the bathrooms are highly clean and there is a general feeling of being at home there. Each details has been taken care of. Thank you very much.

Location is great. Room is bright and spacious, hallway, washrooms, kitchen and dinning area are all bright and spacious, too. The whole place is new, clean and with AC, When you step in, you just want to stay in and get relaxed there My favorite hostel in Bulgaria!!

It is not really a place for socializing, but it’s because it’s a fairly new hostel. Feels almost like a hotel. Also sometimes it’s quite loud from the bars down the street at night but nothing earplugs can’t fix!

Nice, comfortable, clean beds. Seemed like almost completely new mattresses. Good with several power sockets near the bed. Spacious lockers to store belongings. Good AC throughout the building as well as wifi. Fully stocked kitchen including drinking water. Great location close to everything.

This property sits over a bar so there’s a constant thudding of the music beat till about 4am. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s a tricky place to be.

This dorm room is huge! They easily could have shoved it full of bunk beds but instead there’s only three. It also has the most secure storage I’ve ever seen for a hostel which I really appreciated.

Two young Bulgarian business school grads who are cousins run the best hostel I have ever been in. Modern, ultra clean, brand new beds, 2 towels supplied, sophisticated but easy to use security system, excellent kitchen, speak good English, history books of the superb city of Ruse supplied. No kitchy rave party stuff that you usually see. This is the furure of hostels ... brilliant young entrepreneurs. Highly recommend. Right next to the center of the Old Town, near the Danube too/

This is not necessarily a downside but, Fridays and Saturday, the club, that's part of the same building, is agreed with to boost them music levels to an above-decent volume. So, if you're traveling with younglings, or with sensitive-to-noise people (especially old ones), you might have a hard time getting your 'beauty sleep' in this Hostel that's placed in a super-convenient central location. Nevertheless, although we benefited of their accommodation during the 'rush hour', we still enjoyed the positive aspects of the rooms, and kitchen/bathrooms, being clean and, again, the host (Ivalyo), being a super decent people.

Although I didn't pay attention to this accommodation being a 'hostel' (meaning they have share bathrooms), I found everything to be super clean, with an excellent location, plus the host (Ivalyo) an incredibly kind and attentive host.

We stayed on a Saturday night and the bar/nightclub next door played music until the early hours of the morning (maybe 3am) which could be heard in our room. Not the hostel’s fault but would recommend bringing earplugs

Hostel Canto was one of the nicest hostels we’ve stayed in. It was clean, modern, and the bed was super comfy. The facilities were great, it was nice to have a shower that wasn’t over the toilet as is common in Bulgaria.
