Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe lift was broken and the stairs were steep to the rooms and we were given our towels and robes to carry I felt they should have been in the room or taken to the room for us as it was difficult to take your luggage and carry them also with the lift not working. However this was a minor issue in what was a wonderful stay.
A lovely relaxing experience so many fabulous chill out areas pools and treatment areas and wellness activities, Wonderful food and facilities. Loved it.

Netherlandsfood could have been better - it was just okay, which for Belgium is not acceptable given the premium status of the hotel. some facilities needed maintenance (eg taps in certain spa toilets didn’t work) perhaps better management / planning for restaurants needed, as we wanted to order a seafood platter and it wasn’t available (they only had 5 in stock) no hooks for towels in the toilet in our room
great design, nice spa facilities, ok food, attentive service

United KingdomI was on my own and ordered the fruit tray from restaurant olive. I couldn’t eat it all as it was for two people and I asked if I could take some grapes and melon to my room. It was a no with no reason! Yet they do room service so it is possible to take food to rooms. Confused
Ambiance, very relaxing and very clean

United KingdomSeeing signs that we needed to book a reservation for dinner, but not being able to do this until the restaurant opened at 6pm. We kept walking between different restaurants and reception at 5pm to try and find a way to make a reserveration.
Really smart rooms, easy system with the wristbands for everything. Great spa.

BelgiumWe did not receive a huge amount of info during the arrival + some were not clear so we missed out on some hours of relaxation. An extra fee because we did not book in direct? We pointed this out and were told that this is common partice in hotels but myself I have been working in hotels all around the world and never have I seen this.. That left a little bad taste on the whole experience..
The rooms looked brand new and very well maintained, the wellness facilities were very very good, the dinner we had in the restaurant was very tastfull and the breakfast was amazing and it had a great variety of quality products.

FranceThere were no lights outside which makes is dangerous after dark. Also it was my mom's birthday and we stayed 2 nights. I informed the staff before we arrived but there was nothing done for that (a card, welcome note or free cocktail at the bar would have been nice, as a 4 star hotel this was missing)
The food was great and the activities around the wellness part were great

United KingdomAll good
Very good, comfortable clean and efficient. A much better dinner than I had expected. Good range of dishes and nicely inexpensive wine that was good quality Saint Emilion. I just dropped in en route UK to Frankfurt so dint use the spa but it’s a good place to stop near Brussels and within reasonable quick distance from Brussels Expo too.

LuxembourgLocation was good for me, but this may not be true for everyone.
Great place for a stay overnight on a business trip - location is one issue (my meeting was close by, but Brussels is far given traffic). Plan to arrive early to enjoy the spa and gym. Beautiful rooms, very comfortable and quiet. First time I enter an hotel room, and the temperature is agreeable. Great breakfast!

LuxembourgExtremely unfriendly staff, particularly at reception, but similarly so in the sauna area an in the tapas restaurant. Too expensive for a hotel that deserves 3 stars at best. The "holy veggie" dish has a fish symbol next to it, but no-one can tell you whether it actually contains fish or not, and they will just shout at you. Despite Booking.com confirming "early" check in time (2pm instead of 4pm), the receptionist just grabbed my phone (without asking), to look in my emails in order to prove that I was wrong (i wasnt). They rolled their eyes at us, because we didnt have the email open straight away (we received 20 dutch emails before arriving, so it was hard to find the right one, since we do not speak dutch). Once his colleague suggested searching us by name, he found the reservation within 1 second (why not do that straight away, I wonder?). They fill the establishment like a sardine box, as they take on far too many day visitors, making it super unpleasant for hotel guests, who pay 365 EUR per night!!!!! (aboslute rip off). our view was.... a huge buildung site and a tractor. Wonderful - see picture. At least a word about this, would have "helped". "Sorry, we are currently undergoing work, we apologise for the inconvenience". That's enough... But nothing. The resort is huge, with many rules (no phones anywhere in the SPA, not to read, or to listen music to either), and cameras everywhere including changing rooms (wtf?). There are saunas where you HAVE to keep your bikini on (again, what the hell?), and others where you get screamed at before they even know that you do adhere to the rules... All in all, a good day trip spa, but not a hotel. Breakfast: a bizarre experience of having to chose to eat in a bathrobe or not, and then being strictly separated while seated, but having to use the same buffet... whats the point? Again, you get shouted at for going a step too far in either direction....
Many saunas, large, clean

NetherlandsThe logistics inside the spa and the hotel are way too complicated. The infinite amount of corridors, stairs, and 2 million doors with the label "stuff only". The biggest disadvantage is you are not allowed to take drinks in the spa to the outside spa areas with chaise-longue.
The hotel and the breakfast are outstanding!
