Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were told a room was available before our checking-in-time but they wanted about 60Eur for the privilege! This seems to be a current way with hotels nowadays though. The artwork is extremely wacky which was fine but didn't like the floor in the bedroom - was like walking on a shiny surface in a car park. Our room was next to the lifts - not great for the sound of whirring as well as people talking early/late.
We received a lovely welcome from staff. We were able to leave our luggage before checking-in. The room was large with an enormous bed which was extremely comfortable and had lovely pillows. It was good to be eco-friendly - to decline housekeeping and receive 2 drinks vouchers for the bar. It was greatto have a Nespresso machine and we were able to ask for more pods. The shower was great. Water was provided and a fridge. There was also a safe. Our AC wasn't working but we reported it and it was fixed very promptly.

GermanyMy room was nice, but somewhat oddly designed in detail. Like all the light switches for the room were only at the entrance of the room. There was no way to turn on the larger lights from the bed, for example. Not really consequential, but odd. It was also quite cold despite the heating being on.
Splendid view, friendly staff, good location.

MontenegroThe Internet was bad, the connection often dropped and the quality was poor.
The room was ok, and the bed was comfortable. If you need sleepers, you have to ask at the reception. I had the best waffles in Brussels for breakfast. The front desk staff is super friendly and accommodating.

NetherlandsNothing in particular, we had a really good stay
We had a really spacious and comfortable room, the TV in the room was huge and allowed us to stream shows directly from our phone, which is a great feature. Really liked the hotel decor, each floor is unique. The hotel is on the tram line which makes it really convenient to move around the city.

SpainLocation is a bit further from the main inner city - however it is by a metro station and it is well connected with the public transport. We did end up walking to most sights so it is technically within walking distance.
Lovely staff, and room. Great room amenities, views and bed comfort. Really hard to find something not to like. The room is also very quiet, which we really appreciated considering the multitude of public works all over Brussels (incl. by this hotel).

United KingdomParking - you have to pay a hefty 29 euros to park for 1 night/day. The entrance of it is narrow. Elevator - is not working from reception to and from the car park. Therefore you have to drag your luggage(s) for 2 floors. Location - the front end of the hotel looks nice but the back of it is a bit dodgy.
I chose a room online and when my family and I arrived, the receptionist informed us that they had moved us to another bigger room to fit all guests. The room is spacious, clean and has all the necessary facilities and in working order. Breakfast was to die for and it's worth an insta capture. The receptionist who checked us in was very helpful and she advised us where to eat and where to go. Everyone was so nice and always had a smile on their faces.

United KingdomWe weren’t able to get any coffee from the bar when the coffee machine in our room broke, but the hotel gave us a complimentary breakfast to make up for it, which we were very pleased with.
