Would have liked a kettle to make tea. Instructions for the heating/cooling would be helpful but we figured it out. Stair treads are narrow so be careful going up and down but this is expected in an old historic property.

Staff were lovely checking us in and in the restaurant below for lunch. They loaned us wine glasses and cutlery so we could gather in one of our rooms before going out for dinner. Location is brilliant right on the Market Square with everything within walking distance. Beds very comfortable. Nice ensuite with rain shower. Very nicely renovated overall.

Some tea & coffee making facilities would be nice, particularly given the cost of the room, and the lack of breakfast. The bottle of water was appreciated, but there was nowhere to find a cup of tea before about 0900.

Fantastic location, and surprisingly quiet for the number of people outside the window. The room was clean, recently refurbished and fascinatingly in the attic of a medieval house. Plenty of warm water for the shower, and the room temperature was perfect in the cold weather.

It would have been nice to have a tea/coffee station in the room.

It was incredibly conveniently situated, and felt very safe and comfortable. the bedroom was a lovely size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also a great size and well equipped.

The unfriendly staff at checkin The stairs, we had to carry our luggage to the 3rd floor on extremely narrow stairs. We would have probably not gone forward had we known about this aspect while booking.

The stairs , so many narrow and spiral stairs. As it is a heritage building, lift is not allowed to be installed.

Helpful staff who also run restaurant downstairs. Amazing location, rooms overlook main market square. Large comfy bed and new bathroom.

It was absolutely perfect!!!

This room was amazing!!! I can’t say enough how much we loved it. The view from the window overlooking the square and the amazing architecture was spectacular!!! Cozy, clean, romantic, and more. It checks all the boxes!!!!

The room was faultless. But these are old buildings so don’t expect a lift to any floors. I would recommend eating anywhere but the square too for better quality/price.

Location and view was second to none. Super comfy bed which was very wide, windows that open to hear the bells and close with blackout shutters. Loved the colour of the room too. Shower was brilliant and tall enough for tall people. Check in was easy, just see the staff at the restaurant below.

Some of the reviews were VERY different to our experience. Lovely view of the square? NO! Our view- dismal. Helpful staff assisting us with our luggage up all the stairs? NO!! We are 2 over 70s and were left to struggle with our own bags up the steps. Told- it’s an old building - there is no lift! All the little touches such as facilities to make tea or coffee are not there- despite many reviews pointing out how it is nice to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee without struggling up and down many steps in the morning. They just don’t seem to care. No where to put stuff in bathroom….
