The curt tone with which front office responded to request for late check out.. You don't have to say yes but try to address underlying need of your customer. A lot of money spent in renovation but some fixtures are 3 stars and some 5 stars. That defeats the purpose. Clients don't average to 4 stars they just take those that irritate from the 3 stars.

Got a upgrade to a room with a bath tub to soak itchy dry skin. Breakfast staff v good.

The hotel is beautifully finished and has a beautiful spa-like fragrance throughout. I was surprised that this wasn’t a 5 star. The room had a lovely mix of old world charm with modern technology.

The Hotel was very central and a walking distance to most places. The rooms were very spacious, really clean and the staff were really friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying there again when I next visit Brussels

So Clean with sense of real class

Seems air (heat/cool) cannot be managed by us so it could be too hot or too cold. Also, in the evening the restaurant was making a lot of noise with putting dishes away. There is a door there, they should close it. Our room was close to the restaurant.

Nice and clean hotel with high ceilings in a perfect central location. We did not hear any noise from outside. We would stay there again. We didn't have breakfast as it was too expensive for us.

It did not seem possible to control heat in the room, we were quite comfortable but could imagine others might have found it a little chilly. The water from the sink tap was very hot, but the shower was not super hot. The hotel charged me twice for the two rooms we booked. The over payment was sorted and the reception staff apologised. However when I pointed out that I had clearly had to pay bank charges for the currency conversion on the refund and so had lost out in the short time between them taking the money and refunding it they said they would look into it. I heard nothing more. It was not a huge amount but I should not have had to pay for their mistake and an apology and small gesture of apology would have been nice.

A beautiful hotel, stylish and comfortable. The breakfasts were exceptional and the location quiet but very close to the main sites.

Only small point was that at breakfast, coffee was dispensed from a machine using pods that is not efficient for the capacity of guests - water constantly needed to be topped up, used pods constantly needed to be removed, queue of guests waiting for coffee.

Nothing to dislike

From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. The reception team had organised a room upgrade for us due to it being a special occasion and they were very knowledgeable and forthcoming on recommendations on where to eat and visit. Breakfast was extensive and delicious in a beautiful high ceilinged room and nothing was too much trouble.

Even if you have a room in the inner garden, you hear all the machines that produce the heating or aircon. Not possible to open the window as too noisy during the night

the TV in our room didn't have any entertainment apps like netflix etc.. which is no biggie but important to mention. the magnificent historical preserved wooden windows are unfortunatly not that soundproofed, some people might find that annoying, but we didn't mind it.

This hotel is a work of art, from the exterior to the interior. every spot is meticulously designed, preserved and cleaned. the Hotel smells nice wherever you go. there is a lovely lounge area to relax at next to reception in a beautiful historic room with a marble fireplace. we cheked in, and the staff decided to upgrade our room to a deluxe room with a marble fireplace. the room was PERFECT! Every little detail was thought through. the Location is great, walking diatance from all the shopping, restraunts, bars, historic center and museums. the breakfast was exquisite, well thought of high quality ingredients buffet with an option of a main breakfast dish from the kitchen. the Staff was very very helpfull, they did everything to give us answers, help us with planning our trip and they were kind enough to upgrade us, truly thankful for the experience.
