Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe lift was broken and had to walk up many flights of stairs everyday…but it was good exercise. The lift mechanic was working on repairs. I’m sure it is repaired by now.
Welcoming, friendly, clean and excellent breakfast.

GermanyBruges seems to be an expensive place for travellers. In any case we felt that our room was rather expensive in relation to prices in very many middle-size cities in western Europe.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our three days in Bruges, and our stay at the Hotel Fevery certainly contributed to that. Our room was bright, attractive, in excellent condition and very quiet. There is a lift/elevator and our rooms was nicely serviced each morning. The location suited us: in the first place we liked being just outside the area where services for tourists are concentrated but just a short walk from numerous and varied restaurants and cafés. Secondly, thanks to the bus lines of the public transport network it was easy to reach not only all of the major sights but also the main train station. Indeed bus #2 provides a sort of mini sightseeing tour. What is rather exceptional in 2024 is that the Hotel Fevery is a small, private, owner-managed hotel: guests are greeted by name, and breakfast is tailored to some extent to guests' requests

Everything. Paul was exceptional. His attention to detail and top class approach to the hotel and his guests was something I have not seen at 5 star hotels or suites. Having stayed at top class hotels on many occasions I can honestly say it was a joy to be looked after so well. Thank u.

Paul the owner was very helpful and offered assistance whenever we needed it. The accommodation was clean and spacious as we had the top floor. Breakfast was lovely and finishing at 10 gave us sleep in time. Brugges is an amazing romantic city and if you ever get a chance stay at Hotel Fevery location, accommodation and service great.

United KingdomRoom cleaning happens very early, before breakfast even ends. Some rooms were left unattended with the doors wide open and other guest's belongings visible. Tea and coffee is available by the reception when it is open, but it would be nice for it to be in the room as well. However free water from the fountain is available at any time.
A wonderful hotel in the old city of Bruges, set away from the busier touristy centre so it is quiet, but all sites of interest is still close enough to be easily walkable. The host Paul was on hand to help with any issue and advice on the city. Room was a little small but very comfortable, and kept clean. Breakfast is available at the dining room with a limited but tasty selection of meats and cheeses. Eggs are available on request. Overall I highly recommend the Fevery to all 👍

United StatesA lovely family owned hotel in a great location! Every morning we were looking forward to the breakfast - delicious Belgian food and a great service! An extra touch was an offer from Paul, the owner, to book dinners in the local popular restaurants which get really busy during the summer season. We exchanged several emails prior to our arrival to Bruges to get them scheduled, and we were really happy we had a chance to dine in these restaurants.

I loved the personal touch of this hotel. It has a small number of rooms. Paul the owner is a lovely host. Very helpful & always interested in the guests offering advice. Our flight home was early & so we missed breakfast. Paul sent a breakfast pack to our room for the 6 of us. Such a kind & thoughtful gesture. The breakfast each morning was great with a tasty selection of fresh bread, crossiants, waffles etc.

United KingdomThe walls between the rooms are really thin so you can hear everything your neighbour is doing - showering, toilet flushing, talking etc. bring ear plugs!
A lovely little B&B in a good location to explore Bruges. A helpful host and a good check in experience. I liked the bar area by reception, it was really handy.

United StatesPaul was above and beyond welcoming us into his beautiful hotel. Our room was beautiful, extremely clean, and with a little window to the city's roofs. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance from the city center. Paul, kindly gave us instructions on how to explore the picturesque city of Bruges. Continental breakfast was delicious, on the second morning of our stay, Paul did know what we like to eat. We stayed four nights and we truly enjoyed our time in Hotel Fevery! Thank you Paul for being so kind to us. We had a fantastic welcome and stay!
