Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesTaxi was expensive to and from the location. It would have been hard to have rolled our smallwheeled luggage across the cobblestones to get to the central square or bus stop.
Room size, bed comfort, bathtub/shower and view were outstanding. Quiet at night and sooo peaceful. Breakfast was satisfying w toast your own waffle but included standard European breakfast. Included a soft boiled egg. Dinners at the restaurant we're outstanding and reasonable. The escargot, carpaccio, mussels and osso bucco were all excellent. So good that we got the escargot and ossobucco again the next night. We substituted the mussels for the Flemish beef stew. Desserts were outstanding!

United KingdomBusy restaurants outside with noise levels to match, no A/C so may have to choose between noise or being too warm. The overall experience however was wonderful and I would recommend.
Picturesque location in heritage property. Helpful and efficient staff, close to all the local sites, large room, beautiful communal and breakfast areas that have a real wow factor. Breakfast was limited but excellent quality fresh ingredients.

United StatesWe loved our stay here! You are right in the middle of an incredible little square. The hotel building has been there since the 1600s so if you like feeling like part of history, this is for you! Obviously prepare yourself for a bit of an older feel, but it was gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The restaurant has a to-die-for view. Close to everything we needed. The staff was kind and the breakfast was great!

The room was lovely, we had the one overlooking the canal and the view was great with good cross ventilation. The bathroom was surprisingly modern and well renovated. We thoroughly enjoyed the room and the view, though we stayed for only a single night. The common areas of the hotel and the room itself are older in design and feel a bit dated, but charming nonetheless. Would recommend.
