We are not Breakfast eaters ourselves, so it didn't bother us, but it seemed to us that 56 euro per couple per day was on the expensive side. Perhaps a cheaper option could be available for those who might want it?

My husband and I would not be fans of large impersonal hotels, however luxurious, so found the de Castillion , which is a smallish very old building, family run, very much to our liking. It is slightly quirky, but full of character. Our room was comfortable, quiet, as requested, and the staff helpful. One has the feeling of being more in a private residence than a hotel.

The only thing that could have been better was if our stay was longer.

Hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly and the location was great. It really felt like we were treating ourselves with our stay in Bruges. We upgraded our room and it still exceeded expectations. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. There were treats in the room which we appreciated.

I love this boutique hotel, it has the coziest rooms and most elegant interior of any hotel I have been. Location is great - just 500m from the city center. Staff is very kimd and attentative.

The room set up is very odd. The bathroom (toilet) is downstairs, sink and shower upstairs. Very dark where winding stairs, to bed, sink and shower. Very strange layout.

The shower and bath facilities were lovely but would have preferred a shower screen and more separate toilet area. However, it wasn't to the detriment of the room, just a personal preference.

The location was excellent. The room was lovely; a little quirky, but clean and very comfortable. The reception was warm, friendly, and professional. Decor was as expected, providing an opulent yet relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. Without hesitation; I would book again. I'm unable to comment on the food as we didn't eat there.

The hotel was a very pretty boutique hotel in Bruges. It was within walking distance to many of the sites of Bruges and their historic area. The hotel was well maintained, clean abd very comfortable.

The location was superb. You are so close to the center but on a quiet street so it was very peaceful at night, we slept well. We reserved parking at the hotel which was extremely useful. The staff were great and very friendly.

Everything about this boutique hotel is fantastic. The staff is wonderful and attentive, the breakfast was delicious, the location is perfect. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our 20 year wedding anniversary vacation. This property is superb in every way.

The hotel was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the lounge, which was located in the original salon in the house. I don't throw the word "elegant" around lightly, but it certainly applies to this property. The location was perfect. It is in Bruge's historical center, and close to a bus stop and restaurants.

Some people will probably say that the price is a bit high, but for a small hotel with 20 rooms of that quality in that town - it’s fair for sure. Not a single thing I can complain about, even if I really wanted to. It was flawless.

If there is one thing I regret when staying here, it’s that I stayed for only 1 night. Already considering celebrating a New Year here. The hotel is one of the best ones I’ve ever stayed it, and that list is quite long. It’s beautiful, very comfortable (first really good bed after visiting 4 cities in the Netherlands and Belgium during the trip). There were even some small chocolate surprises for everyone, which is something only some 5-star hotels do. Staff members were amazing, real professionals. Breakfast is a separate story - I didn’t expect such variety of high quality products in a hotel with only 20 rooms, but it was on the level with 5-star hotels as well. And the location is also perfect. Bruges is actually bigger than most people think, so being in the old town a few minutes away from the sights is worth a lot. I hope this hotel will continue welcoming guest forever, no matter what other pandemic will come. It’s was one of Bruges highlights for me.

there was an uncomfortable thin mattress over the two united mattresses, makes the bed too soft so we sink into
