Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumCoffee and Local breakfast would have added value to the stay. The functional electric/ manual bike would have added value to the experience.
Everything about the place was beautiful. I could have appreciated a local farm breakfast at the site would have given an ideal slow start for the day on vacation instead of rushing to Tanta Marie.

United KingdomReasonably priced for 1 night stay, a bit like a hostel with shared facilities which was okay as we were the only ones in the building. Would not like to stay here in busy periods. Shower was a wet room style so everything got soaked, okay in a private room you can wander in and out of but as this is shared facility it could potentially be a real pain or having wandering about in a towel....first world problem of course 😉 didn't help that it was dark and raining when we arrived, check in and out was clumsy so first impressions not great.
Comfy beds, very clean. Slept well, nice bedding, good value compared to other accommodation in the area.

GermanyBathroom door was scraping on the floor and quite noisy - doesn't bother me so much personally but may have been audible for neighbouring rooms.
Very comfortable and spacious room. Very convenient for access to Bruges: free park and ride parking was reachable in 20 minutes. Parking at the accommodation also plentiful and simple.

New ZealandIt was a little spoilt by the people arriving in late and not trying to be quiet or considerate. One French family arrived at 2am and were very, very noisy, they made no effort to be quiet, this went on for about 30 minutes. More what you would expect at a youth hostel.
The location and peace and quiet after the busling town of Brugge. Also the donkey and puppy were very cute. I appreciated the gf rolls at breakfast and the variety of other gf foods.

FranceThe room was small with twin beds, one under the mansard roof so watch your head ! No meal service, aside from breakfast which, to be fair, was very good ! The lack of food in the evening is only a pb if you are cycling and it is pouring rain… as was our case. So, once again out into the rain for dinner. Such is cycletouring. Damme is only 3 km’s away for restaurants BUT they all close before 7 pm except one bistrot. Don’t come late !
Quiet countryside. The people were lovely. Very helpful.

BelgiumI would prefer a can of fresh filter coffee at the table rather than ristretto and expresso cups. It would probably also be cheaper for the property.
Breakfast was excellent in a very nice and spacious room. The fresh bread and a savoury buffet were a delight. Sweet spreads, cornflakes, yoghurt and fresh fruit were available too.

NetherlandsI wish the information about the shared bathroom facilities was more prominent in the description of the establishment. There weren't many people staying when we visited but it would have been an issue otherwise.
The location and the layout of the hotel were very nice. Very close to Brugge and ideal for our dog that needs a quiet environment. The staff was very helpful and polite.

SpainAs there ist no air-con we opened the window and a lot of flies and mosquitos found their way in... Mosquito-nets in the windows would be a great plus!
Beautiful nature, great to travel with dogs, although many people do this which might provoke some barking when arriving or leaving the room. No Air-Con though, but luckily it wasn't too hot. Shared bathroom was no problem!
