Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe food at the snack bar was not good value for money. Food in general was expensive in Belgium but the snack bar quality for price was particularly poor.
Staff were friendly. The site has very good facilities with heated pool. Short cycle to marina - less than 10 minutes - about 25 minute walk to marina and tram going to Ostend one direction and Plopsaland themepark in the other direction.

United KingdomThere was no oven in the home it said cooker on booking.com but actually it was just a hob and a microwave. It's very basic, you need to take absolutely everything with you.. bath mats, loo roll, bin bags etc.We had just come from another holiday let of a similar price and the difference was stark.
The kids really likes the pool and the slide, the general campsite is nice and the playgrounds are fabulous.

BelgiumPool was supposed to be working according to the info in booking. However it was opening 2 days later than expected, enough for not being there :-( Friturie closed on Sunday
Tiny house for 4 people is enough for a family with 2 kids. The green area outside, shared by the tiny houses (just grass), is great for kids to run around and have fun. No family disturbed, no noise bothering. A lot of playgrounds. Distance where no long, so everything is easily reachable. Friturie with french-fries to take away inside the camping (that was nice). We recommend the camping

BelgiumThere was a booking system for the use of the pool for different slots during the day which took away the sense that the campsite's swimming pool was a readily available service for spontaneous use. We got the impression that this has been recently introduced (it was not advertised). Some of the services, like the snack bar and small supermarket on site could have provided more choice. Service in the snack bar was very slow. The restaurant served okay food, but it was rather expensive. We were given next to no information on arrival and therefore 'discovered' a lot of services for ourselves as the week progressed (see above for the swimming pool). It's important to insist at reception on getting a full debrief, and ask questions, and this will avoid disappointment or missing out on services (e.g. on day 3 we discovered on a specific playground for under 5s and on the day before we left we stumbled upon an indoor soft play area, just next to the reception). For a site with a lot to offer, this is a shame, and it also leads to unnecessary disappointments. At the start we weren't even sure we were in the right place, as we had booked 'Kustpark' but the place was advertised as Kompas Camping. We hadn't understood that there are a lot of different operators at this site. Some rules only became clear after arrival: Toddlers under 2 count as 1 person for the accommodation. We had a confusion with our operator - we had booked for 4 adults + toddler cot, and they wanted us to know that it is 4 person maximum allowed in the type of cabin we had booked (the toddler was counted as a person).
Kustpark is a large and well equipped complex with different company operators on it (there are a range of tents, campervans, static caravans and cabins, around 1000 such places). This means it is very well equipped. Our toddler daughter loved the playgrounds. There are 3 of them, we discovered, each adapted to a different age range. There was one specifically for 0-5 year olds. The toddler pool was also excellent, outdoor but heated, with a slide that she could use safely. She loved it. Our cabin was clean and well equipped and had a lovely outside terrace attached to it.

United KingdomThe light right outside the bedroom that was on all night, However the blackout curtains did a good job of blocking it out. The corners of the duvet covers are removed to help put the duvet inside, which is a bit odd, but not a significant problem!
The mobile home was comfy and clean, incredibly well equipped. The lady we spoke to was lovely! The site was conveniently located for the town and was immaculate. The little welcome pack contained a loo roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, and washing up sponge, brush and cloths. The bed was comfy, and although there is limited room around the bed to get dressed, the rest of the unit had ample space.
