Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesBathroom designers seem to worry more about looks than utility. For example, the showers are large and lovely, but there is no shelf on which one can put shampoo, soap conditioner, washcloth etc. So when taking a shower you have to put everything on the floor except perhaps the one thing you are holding. A small shelf would make taking a shower considerably easier and can be accomplished with no significant expense or harmful impact on design. Also, it would be nice if there were a hook closer to the shower to hold a robe or towel for when one is leaving the shower.

United StatesOur sheets were dirty the first night and the shower overflowed quickly into the whole bathroom and room. Both issues were addressed but no compensation was offered.
Beautiful and comfortable room. Great pillows, nicely laid out room with storage and room to move around. Bathroom laid out well. Lovely coffee station in our room. Excellent location between the train station and old town.

CanadaThe hotel would suit most travellers . Having stayed in Bruges before, I was spoiled . I can't criticize this hotel , but it didn't have the atmosphere of my previous stay . It is relatively modern , there is a good dining room , it is certainly located in the right spot for the tourist, but for me it just didn't have that appeal that extra good feeling.

The room was spacious with comfortable beds and the bathroom had a lovely shower. The location was ideal for the nus, train and walking to any tourist attraction. Would highly recommend.

AustraliaThese are all minor points that did not detract from our stay… The shower, basin and toilet were stained and could’ve done with a really good scrub. The light in the vanity mirror was not working and was not repaired after notification. The air conditioning was unnavigable or just not working - being able to open the balcony doors cooled us down however. For some reason we got no room service. I was charged an additional 10 euro “City Tax” on arrival which was an unexpected surprise.
The hotel is within easy walking distance to the Cathedral, belfry tower and all the lovely shops and restaurants Bruges has to offer. Our room was small, modern and serviceable with a nice bathroom and a tiny balcony which was an unexpected bonus. Staff were busy, but friendly and helpful if you could find them. I appreciated that I was given a partial refund for two days parking (40 of 50 euros) as we’d parked in a public car park by mistake (35 euros for two days).
