Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SlovakiaWiFi was so poor that I rather used the wifi hot spot on my mobile phone.
The hotel is at walking distance from the Bruxelles Midi station, which was where we arrived. We arrived early and used the baggage deposit, which is really spacious. The hotel is much larger than seems from the outside. The room was cosy and clean with nice furniture. Was one of the few properties that were at the time of stay reasonably close to the European Commission, was quite reasonably priced (although not cheap) and had good quality. Breakfast good with classical continental choice. Good choice for a business trip.

SlovakiaIn the morning we were woken up by noisy sound of people walking in the corridor, some furniture being moved around in the room above us and some construction works in our floor. Maybe a better, more sound-proofing door would be great.
The hotel has a very convenient location in the center of the city, which was the crucial factor for our decision. The furnishing of the hotel and our room felt a little outdated, but we didn't mind that as the room was comfortable and clean. The personnel of the hotel was kind and helpful.

TurkeyOur check-in took more then half hour because of some unexperienced staff, although we made internet check-in as proposed by hotel earlier. Also they gave us missing breakfast ticket which ended up a discussion in entrance of restaurant. But my cousine's staff were experienced, they checked-in in minutes and as expected. It was interesting that they offered us to combine 2 rooms with one family room due to electricity pan emergency. We accepted it because we didnot want to change hotel. But be aware the connection room has no window and is chlostrophobic. Also a shower is suitable then bathtube for older people like my mom.
Breakfast was excellent. Fruits, muslis, yogurts, cheeses, charcuteries, scramble and boiled egg, croissant, crêpe, etc. The room very clean and large. Beds comfy. Big hotel and many facilities. Walking distance to main attractions. 15 min walk to train stations and switch for airport. Reception supported also very gently when I forgot my mobile in restroom and run back to find it.

United KingdomThe room was a little disappointing with hardly any of the facilities you would expect in even a much cheaper hotel. As an example, there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I was provided with a kettle by a helpful receptionist, but I had to enquire - it wasn't offered to me until I asked. And it was just a simple little kettle with paper cups. No tea or coffee, I had to buy that myself. It was also disappointing to be given a twin room when I had booked a double. I understand that sometimes all the double rooms are booked up, but I had made my reservation a couple of weeks in advance and I think it's reasonable to expect there were still double rooms available at that point in such large hotel. Sadly, I felt the hotel was overpriced.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was excellent and the breakfast was outstanding.
