My favourite hostel, and I’ve stayed at many throughout Europe and Asia. Igor is an incredible host and really knows how to build community with and for his guests. I hope to come back in the future.

For some reason it was common for the very narrow hallway to be used as a hangout space(rather than the large living area right next to it). This made going to the bathroom at night very awkward as you had to climb over a bunch of people who were smoking and drinking

The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Bathrooms were clean and there was a small fridge that you could store some food in.

The Room beside the Common Room is noisy when the guests went to bed late Some Noise from the Street at Night No Smoking Area inside, you have to go in front of the Building for Smoking

Central Location Igor is a wonderful Host. He knows a lot about the Bosnian History You will get a Raki as a Welcome Drink

no social atmosphere almost no guests. so it was hard to make contacts at all.

The hostel is very central and everything is easily accessible on foot. Igor was very nice and gave a lot of tips. Good if you like drinking and raki from Igor.

Igor is a wonderful host! He is knowledgeable about the city and provides me with good tips for my short visit. Even graciously, let me check in at around 1am due to flight delays. The location is just above the walking street at the corner of the Eternal Flame and only few minutes away to the Scared Heart Cathedral.

This is the only hostel where I felt so sad leaving. It’s not just a hostel, it’s Igor’s little commune where everyone is welcome:) go to Sarajevo and never miss a chance to meet Igor, he is the legend. About facilities: beds have curtains, bathroom and shower is clean, the common area and the balcony where you can people-watch all day is a gem!

The hungovers...

I arrived late after a really rough couple days and I was immediately received by Igor, the owner, with a big smile and heart. He first offered me coffee and after showing me the place we drank Rakija, in about an hour I had already stopped caring about everything that was troubling my mind and was just able to enjoy a nice night with him and a couple other guests. For Igor, as he later explained to me, his hostel is more than just a place to spend a night in. He has a philosophy of hospitality that goes beyond mere accomodation. The common area is a place of friendliness and freedom where, unless you are intolerant, you'll be able to debate just about anything; everyone, no matter where they come from or where are they heading, will feel welcomed. Due to Sarajewo's historical significance and Bosnia's lax touristic visa requirements I was able to meet people from all around the world, and thanks to Igor's good vibes the intercultural exchange is, from the get go, an ideal put into practice. Showers, bathrooms, linen and beds were excellent too, but that's secondary to the experience. I ended up extending my stay in Bosnia two more weeks and volunteering as well. živjeli Igor, živjeli The Good Place, živjeli Yugoslavija. ✊🏻

Certainly the best hostel ! Good location, very clean common areas with a balcony, comfortable beds. A big thank you to Igor for the welcome. Ideal place to chat and play some games in the evening such as the string-game. It's really "The Good Place" !

I like everything with the hostel, it was better than I imagined. Igor is amazing host and he makes sure that everyone are feeling good. Make sure to try his rakija, just don't trust him with some red/orange alcohol... ;)

Smell from smoking from balcony was in the room. But its everywhere in Balkan countries. But for us it was difficult to breathe at night.

Igor is one of the best hosts, I have ever met. He loves hosting people and sharing stories. His restaurant recommendations were spot on.The hostel is right at the city center. Tram to the west terminal is about 200m. The 103 bus stop, to the east terminal is around 500m. The hostel's entrance is behind the coffee shop. You can see the coffee shop on the cover picture, to the left of the red roofed section.

In case you're an apprentice cook🧑🏻‍🍳 and didn't read the description of the hostel (like me ^^). You have to know that there is no hot plates in the kitchen ;)

The best way to define this hostel is that it's a hostel where you will feel like at home! It's cosy, clean and it's super well located. Igor is a great host. Thank you for answering all my questions regarding, main places to visit, public transportations, and all the interesting discussions we had about the history, the politic and the futur of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

So, where do I start? I am a backpacker who have been to 84 countries so far and this was one of the best hostels I ever had stayed in. Igor is a really cool host, the place is very friendly, it’s so clean and fresh, perfect location, even a “indoor” balcony where you can sit watch people walk on the street. There’s small mirrors in each bed for your morning routine, there’s small pockets for your important belongings. The bed are comfortable and you create your own space with curtains. Highly recommended!
