Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesWater stopped working in middle of the night both nights. Staff explained that Sarajevo city is currently doing maintenance work and the city does not warn in advance when water will be cut off. I suggested owner should let customers know that they might lose water at random times.

RussiaThere were untidy traces of dirt on the carpeting. Some drawers in the bathroom were broken and would not open. Unfortunately, there is no kettle in the suite. The hand soap dish in the bathroom was broken. The room is nice but needs maintenance in small things.
Great location with good staff. The rooms have a great ventilation system. There is a hairdryer, refrigerator and some dishes. There are personal hygiene products in the bathroom, but no dental bills. You can take breakfast in the morning.

For example,Manager did not approve us to keep parking place 1-2 hours after check out time.In all other hotels this is not problem ,becouse check in time is from 2 pm,and check out deadline is 11 am....

MontenegroThe room constantly smelled of cigarettes, so it was difficult for me and the child to sleep. The air conditioner is very noisy. Not very tasty coffee for breakfast (too strong).
Nice small hotel, within walking distance from the center of Sarajevo. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, good furniture, large bathroom with bathtub and shower. Breakfast is normal, there is a cafe nearby where you can also have breakfast.

CroatiaIf you need parking, for overnights, park on the street public parking as there is no charge between 22-07 (parking next to river, in front of Courtyard). Otherwise its going to be 2KM/hr on two nearby parking places - no daily parking fee available. Rooms have intensive smell - air freshener.
Rooms are large. 15 min easy walk to city center and most attractions. Breakfast is a little basic, but for the price we paid, we were OK to eat breakfast elsewhere. Weird key "refreshing scenario", need to recode your key every time you leave your room.

United Kingdom• Bathroom didn’t have a bidet but thankfully I carry a portable washer. • Breakfast should run til 11am/12pm for late risers such as myself. • Small improvement but better toilet paper ply so doesn’t need daily replacing of x2 rolls. • ideally no smoking in reception / lobby rules enforced as smoking smell is sometimes in corridors of hotel. • Guest in neighbouring room had a dog for 2 nights which was noisy with barking in morning.
• Beautiful room (303). Spacious, clean, modern and well-equipped room with all essentials for a comfortable stay. Ceiling to floor glass windows. • Extra large bed, which is soooo comfortable. We had the best sleep. • Shower pressure was excellent. • Room had large wardrobes and storage which is excellent for a stay as long as ours (6 nights). • Emre, I presume hotel owner / manager, delivered exceptional customer service and very accommodating. • Free laundry service - very impressive and convenient. • Location is 17 mins from old town, a few mins to supermarkets and stones throw from city centre. Hotel is situated off the river Miljacka which has beautiful views. • Free breakfast (only had once as I wake up later), was lovely. • Highly recommend based on the ease of access, affordability, excellent comfort and incredible service during our 6 night stay.

It was clean, comfortable, had a cozy bed, rich breakfasts and pancakes and hot coffee were good. At the reception, they immediately checked us into the room. But since the air conditioner in the room was automatic digital, the room was very cold. We had slippers, shampoo and creams in our room, the bathroom was very clean. English speaking staff helped us a lot. We entered the hotel and a nice perfume smell hit our nose, the cleaners were spraying perfume everywhere.

The hotel was very nice overall. The breakfast was good and sufficient for us. clean, nice and comfortable bed, jacuzzi in the bathroom felt good after the journey. Everyone speaks English and they tried to be helpful. The parking lot 🅿️ location was right opposite the hotel, they made a parking reservation at an affordable price. see you again

IndiaThey are unprofessional - Don’t think it’s a hotel - DINGE Entrance - see photo It's super scary when u are alone and have these scoundrels saying NOY OUR FAULT - buzz off Deceptive Booking Practices: Despite receiving a confirmation of my booking and check-in time, the hotel claimed they were sold out upon my arrival and blamed the error on Booking.com. This is misleading and unacceptable. Rude and Unhelpful Staff: The hotel staff were incredibly rude and offered no assistance or solutions. Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, leaving me stranded without a room. Lack of Accountability: The hotel did not take responsibility for the situation. They did not reach out to correct the error or provide an alternative; instead, they shifted the blame entirely to Booking dot com. Pattern of Behavior: After my experience, I read feedback from other guests and discovered that this is a common issue at Hotel R. They routinely overbook and then turn guests away, indicating a pattern of deceptive behavior. Inconvenience and Additional Costs: Being turned away at the last minute forced me to find alternative accommodations, resulting in additional travel costs and higher prices for a last-minute booking. The hotel showed no concern for the inconvenience they caused. Overall, the combination of misleading booking practices, rude staff, lack of accountability, repetitive deceptive behavior, and the significant inconvenience and additional costs made this a thoroughly negative experience. I would not recommend Hotel R to anyone.
Scam Hotel R - Avoid Booking Here I strongly advise against booking at Hotel R. I am baffled as to why Booking dot com continues to list this establishment. Despite having written to Booking dot com requesting the removal of this so-called hotel, it remains on their site. Here’s my experience: Hotel R confirmed my booking and even sent me a separate email confirming my check-in time. Naturally, I assumed all was in order. However, I was rudely informed that the hotel was sold out and that Booking dot com had made a mistake with my booking . They claimed they had no rooms and offered no assistance, leaving me stranded. This appears to be a common practice at Hotel R. I have since read feedback from other guests who have experienced the same issue. The hotel routinely takes bookings without having rooms available and then blames the error on Booking.com. This is unacceptable and shows a clear pattern of deceptive behaviour. My Key Points: Misleading Bookings: Hotel R confirmed my booking and check-in time via email, only to turn me away upon arrival. Rude and Unhelpful Staff: The staff were incredibly rude and offered no solutions, leaving me to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. Repetitive Behavior: This issue is not isolated. Numerous other guests have reported the same experience in their feedback. Lack of Accountability: Despite claiming the error was Booking.com's fault, Hotel R did not reach out to correct the situation or provide any form of compensation. I hope Hotel R and Booking.com address this issue publicly. If the error truly lies with Booking.com, why didn't the hotel contact me the next day to clarify? Why did they confirm my check-in time separately? This indicates that the hotel was fully aware of the booking and chose to deceive guests anyway. Booking at Hotel R is a risk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I hope my detailed review helps others avoid the same negative experience.
