Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

RussiaIt was a bit difficult to find the entrance, the sign of the hostel is hardly noticeable. And stairs to the top bunk bed is very inconvenient and there are no bed rails there. I don't move much in my sleep but still it was a bit scary to sleep without them
Great location. The hostel is very central. Everything is super close. There is a supermarket 5 minutes away from it. The train station is only 30 minutes away on foot. And the old part of the city is just around the corner. Friendly stuff, willing to help and give some advice of what to do in the city. Comfortable beds. Interesting design and cool vibe. Comfortable mattress and you get a spacious locker to keep your things

Hostel Franz Ferdinand was in the perfect location - Trams & buses stop are a minute walk. Old Town Main Street - shopping, dining, attractions starts 1/2 a block from the hostel; grocery store a 2-minute walk. The staff - Amarah & Svetlana are the best!!! They were both very accommodating, friendly, best tour guide/concierge/travel agent/culinary guide - everything they recommended that are local Bosnian food/bar were spot on!!! They allow late night check-in with online instructions that were very clear. Thanks a million Amarah & Svetlana for making my 1st Sarajevo visit so memorable and wonderful and for all your help & fabulous recommendations!!! I miss you two already!!!

ItalyThe rooms are too bright because of the curtains and my bed was right under a window, so the curtains were pointless. Also the shower was not the best and some gear was broken.
The staff is so friendly and welcoming, especially Svetlana who is a special guest for everyone coming to the city. Also the people you meet in the hostel are so great.

CanadaSvjetlana (who works at reception) is kind, funny and helpful! Staff helped me arrange a taxi pick up the morning I left. The room was clean and private - perfect for my solo stay. The location was a close walk to everything I wanted to visit. The room I stayed in doesn't have A/C but the fan was okay.

Svjetlana at the reception was the best host ever ! She really gave me the best first impression of Sarajevo. The location of the hostel is just perfect. Just in the center. The room was confortable. I was able to let my backpack in their luggage storage for several days to go on a light adventure for 3 days and then come back to Sarajevo. I really appreciated that.
