Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Turkeyit is a bit strange that you are not allowed to enter the room with shoes on. if there was such a rule, the host could have provided slippers for use in the room. when you book an average room in the greek islands, there is always a bottle of water or juice (not to mention wine, olive oil or coffee) in the room for free. this guest house has a high price compared to the average price in bosnia, i can understand it, it is because of the spectacular view, well then, a bottle of water as a welcome gift could be a nice gesture...
the main feature of this guesthouse is the view of the mostar bridge. the garden from where you can see the view is 3 steps down the level of the room, so it is not so easy to see the view while sitting in the garden. you have to stand in front of the garden door all the time to get the best view. anyway, the room has an excellent view and was also very close to the old part of the town, it is a 3 minute walk. we ordered breakfast as an extra. 10 euro for breakfast is a bit much for bosnia, but it was very tasty. our host, emir, prepared the "perfect" breakfast fresh for us. the garden at the entrance of the house, where we had our breakfast, was also a very nice place, full of large plants, and it was very quiet also. wifi worked well in the room. the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. we didn't use it, but there was a very big flat-screen TV. there was also a well-equipped kitchen.

MalaysiaThe charges for laundry is too expensive. I would like to suggest to reduce the price to accommodate the guest’s urgent needs.
The location is superb! Nearby the main bridge and Stari Bridge. The host is super nice, allowed me to go to balcony to have the best view

United StatesThe place was immaculate, but as noted, the bathroom is shared, so if you are uncomfortable with that, this is not for you. We had the bathroom to ourselves the first night, but even sharing it was no problem. Also, it should be noted that there is a no shoes policy in the building (not a bother to us since we also do this at home). But bringing socks/slippers is nice.
The location is perfect, just a walk down the street from Old Town, and two of the rooms are on the river side with views of the Old Bridge, one with a great balcony. Our host, Emir, was absolutely hospitable, eager to help his guests have a great time. He treats you like guests in his home, which is what you are (although the guesthouse is actually a separate building). We had the homemade breakfast one morning; and everything was fresh and local (some produce from his garden). Lovely time altogether!

United StatesI would have not booked the room if I knew it does not have a balcony with the bridge view. However, somehow the picture with the old page for each room made me feel every room has the bridge view.
The location is close to the old bridge.

RomaniaEmir is not your simple, regular host but your source of positive energy, the definition of warm hospitality. We got what we expected - a spacious and clean room with a good view of the iconic bridge of Mostar, in a central position, within walking distance to the old town, and free parking on site - and even more! Emir's garden is beautiful, full of fresh fruits, vegetables, and roses. Do ask for the breakfast! It's a real feast, fresh, tasty, rich, and with flavors from his garden. We would book here again and recommend this place to friends! Thank you for the pomegranates and lovely memories, Emir!

AustraliaIt would be good to have a shower curtain to keep the floor dry.
Firstly the hospitality and warmth of the hosts was exceptional - we felt like family! The view from our 2-bed apartment was amazing and an experience I'd had on my bucket list for years. The breakfast (which you pay extra for) was extravagant and kept us full past lunch. It was different every day. Plenty of hot water, private parking 30 metres away. Walk to the old town in 5 minutes. Supermarket (you could cook in the room if you wanted to) and a pharmacy nearby. Beds comfortable. Only 2 stairs to the room so very accessible. Love it!

United KingdomI wish I could give more than a 10 for this place. We had a most wonderful stay in the studio, with a view of the old bridge from our private garden area. The breakfast was simply out of this world! Nearly all of it was home grown/home made from our hosts' beautiful garden, and it was absolutely delicious! You certainly don't need to eat for a very long time after you've put all of that amazing food away!!

United StatesThis wasn’t actually a problem, but it could be nice to have a mirror in the room. Since you are sharing a bathroom, it might help speed up the getting ready process if you could do some of it in your own room. (I never had a problem with the bathroom being occupied by the other guests, however)
The view from my balcony was PERFECT! I had the quadruple room and my balcony looked straight at the Mostar bridge. I could step outside and have a picture right there for me any time! The house was so close to the main town area and there was a little bakery just steps away. The guesthouse owners were kind and helpful. It was a wonderful stay!

United StatesFor the quadruple room, the bathroom is shared. That wasn't a problem for us, but if all the rooms are fully booked, it would probably get crowded.
The quadruple room is the one with the balcony that looks right out onto the river and bridge, and this view is one of the best in the city. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hostess was very accommodating and kind. The garden at the house is very nice as well to keep cool in the shade. The room with the balcony is THE best place to stay in Mostar.
