cockroach in my bed 1st night, and the 4 bed room was supposed to be an upgrade, but didn't feel like it because they were so cramped. The size of the room, realistically shouldve been a private, not 4 person.

location is great, just back from the beach front so you don't get the noise, but close enough that it takes all of a minute to get there. staff were very friendly and always appeared to be cleaning up

I don’t blame the staff on this one because they all did the best they could, but it’s a big hostel so they need more housekeepers.

I loved how Tas, the property manager, really put a lot of effort into the group activities in the hostel. I met some amazing people at the hostel because they had several social events that made it easy to meet everyone. The rooms were really nice and so were the common areas. Would absolutely recommend, and would come back to this hostel.

The bunk bed is a very good idea, but I found I’m not as nimble as the younger me once was. So climbing up and down was a bit a pain, especially in the middle of the night. However it added to the experience.

Very close to Bondi beach and it was very clean and tidy. The overall appearance was very good and it’s a clearly looked after place and we would stop again.

The manager of the morning shift Tatiano was really helpful and friendly! I had an issue with the bank so I couldn’t pay with the payment machine ! So he decided to pay and i gave him cash instead and saved my night! Thank you Tatiano!

Although the room was charming, it was way too small for comfort for us. Not enough floor space to fully open up 1 suitcase, only space for 1 beanbag under the bed to face the TV, stairs down from bed really narrow. We had too much stuff for the space, would recommend for someone travelling really light or on their own.

Amazing location minutes away from Bondi beach, shared kitchen and common rooms really clean feels brand new. Lovely staff, had free BBQ and pancakes during my stay.

The loft we stayed in was very small, a little bit too small for two people with lots of luggage…gets super hot on a summer day but with the air con the room cools down quickly :)

We travelled for a short weekend getaway to spend close to the beach and we were very happy with the accomodation. We had a private room with a loft bed and a private bathroom and the room was very well set up. It was clean, comfy and very clever use of space considering the size of the room. The loft bed required a bit of climbing, but it was very comfy. There was also a good amount of power plugs around the bed for charging various phones and tablets. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and helpful and supported us with all the questions and requests we had, including luggage storage. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back if and when we look at a beach holiday again.

The locker in the room was weirdly very narrow, so I had to keep my backpack and bag under the bed, but at least I had somewhere safe for my valuable stuff. Bathroom was very tiny too, but it's fine because it was an ensuite.

Booked The Village as a last minute resort after a terrible experience in a different hostel. It saved my whole trip! Easily the most beautiful hostel I've stayed in. Beautiful beachy vibe that matches the location perfectly, just down the road from Bondi Beach. The common areas were pretty and comfortable, with a big TV room and two other dining and lounging rooms. The kitchen was decently equipped as well, with a BIG storage room connected to it. The laundry room had multiple machines, essential when staying by the beach. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Louise (? from the Netherlands was delightful. They made check-in and check-out very easy, even though I arrived very late at night. The room was on the smaller side, but the bed was extremely comfortable and private. When I shut the curtain it blocked out the outside light completely, which allowed for a great night of sleep. Best blanket I've ever had in a hostel. Overall, I'd recommend this hostel for anyone who wants a peaceful, comfortable beachy vacation.
