Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Lovely staff considering the last minute check in at 9.30pm or so. Were just the most tolerant lovely people who didn’t seem to mind that I had to completely reorganise my car so I could have like 80% of clothing ready for a laundromat visit afterwards & definitely was going at my own easygoing pace too!

New ZealandThe cleanliness of the amenities had work, with a number of stains on my couch. Also, being able to communicate with property owners on through Booking.com website was a slight frustration.
The location was right on the bus route for getting into Southbank with it only taking 10 minutes to arrive at the Cultural centre which is at the heart of the area with easy access to ferries and trains from there.

AustraliaLooks a bit rundown from outside but this was not reflected inside. The bathroom could use some lighter colours as it would be difficult to spot any stains / dirt. Current arrangement merely hides any such material.
I stayed in room 7. Comfortable with all the basic amenities. Smelled fresh and clean. It even had a toaster included. Even though I did not use it, it would be useful for other people. There were even 230 V to 5V USB charging sockets on the wall - amazing.

AustraliaThe room had a pungent smell when first walking into it - I assume it was the cleaning products used. Other than that, everything else was sufficient for the stay. If staying on the top-floor, it is not viable for those that are limited in mobility / travelling with heavy luggage/items. It can be difficult to fall asleep with the outside light being on all night - understandable that this may be due to security and safety measures. However, for those that are light sleepers, invest in an eye mask or temporary solution to blocking out the light. It's not exactly walking distance to any shopping center or convenience store, but it is close enough to places such as UQ and the PA hospital if they are your purpose for staying in Brisbane. Everything in the city is accessible by bus, taxi, uber etc.
I was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the room - it had been redecorated to reflect a modern look. Don't let the exterior fool you! It felt comfortable and provided everything required for my stay. It is conveniently located minutes from the nearest bus stop going towards and away from the city. Provided basic amenities required such as a microwave, fridge, plates, utensils and a jug, along with tea/coffee. Check-in was quick and easy with confirmation of booking by providing ID and payment upon arrival being an option is lucrative. Value for money stay in a private, quiet accommodation. I would recommend staying if options are limited and looking for somewhere close to the city without paying exuberant prices.
