Great central location close to great cafe and good size apartment for a family

The carpet was really dirty. The curtain was drooping off its hooks. The soundproofing not great, lots of traffic noise from the street. The lift had a tub of earplugs for the guests. Our bathroom toilet and tap both leaked, the tap was turned off at the wall when we turned up. The apartments are old but could be kind of cool if just basic maintenance was done and carpets cleaned.

The apartment is spacious and the location is good. Bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Communication with staff was great too.

the filthy carpets and lounge

while the location is fantastic the room we had was great size wise but the carpets and lounge were filthy. When we mentioned it to the receptionist she said they had just acquired a carpet cleaner but no one knew how to use it. The lounge was a sofa bed and very uncomfortable. As mentioned the apartment was a good size with kitchen and cooking facilities, a seperate bath and good size lounge. The bed was comfortable and the location was great.

The entry steps were a little bit steep for carrying bags but everything else was awesome.

Very central location, lovely helpful staff. Decor was delightful and very tasteful.

It was a little loud up to midnight on the Friday night that I stayed on level one from people walking the street past the hotel.

Location was great, all the staff I spoke to were lovely. Nice room, big bed + bathroom. I stayed there the night before and 2 nights after I did the Overland track and they were happy to keep a bag of my gear safe while I was hiking and had it ready for me when I returned.

Town Hall bells ringing every hour and also the lift noise. Would like to have had information on the Website regarding parking so could plan ahead.

Hard to say this, because the place is mostly great ...but the central location is good as detailed above but also difficult for parking with only 1 hour street parking even on the weekend. Also hard checking in on a Friday evening to find a park and unload our car and tired toddlers and then get all baggage up a flight of stairs to the lifts. Also the clock tower which is stunning to look at chimes loudly every 15 mins till late in the evening (maybe around 10pm I can't quite recall) and then on the hour all night till 7am where it starts again every 15 mins!! Ear plugs are provided but with toddlers I can't use them.

These apartments are right in the middle.of town and you're spoilt for choice with places to eat dinner, go for a drink or brunch. You can walk to everything. The apartment is huge and bigger than expected with 2 generous bathrooms as well. For an older apartment it was impeccably clean with only minor wear and tear to furniture. Beautiful view out the window to older buildings and the clock tower.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. Parking is across the street but they give you a card that allows you to stay free overnight and it is fairly cheap during the day. The location is in the heart of Launceston and within walking distance of the Boag's Brewery and many other places.

The lounge was extremely uncomfortable to sit on.

Location was excellent. Fully self-contained. Walking distance to lots of restaurants . Monkeys in the park were just down the road. Walking distance to seaport.

The apartments are in an historic building, which we loved. Our apartment was showing its age, particularly the oven and the carpets. Plenty of room and good layout.

Reception service average, room average but large. Lift needs service groans and noisy that you can hear and vibrates throughout building. Road noise as well...needs better window soundproofing.TV way too small. Whole apartment dowdy. Needs sharpening up.

Unfortunately, and through no fault of the motel, the local hoons spent a lot of time doing burnouts on a friday and Saturday nights. I did wonder what the drawer of ear plugs were for in the lift, but found out pretty quickly. Also had someone else’s towel in the bathroom.

Great location, walking distance to many restaurants. Staff were great during check in an d organising parking.

Room and location was good. However the hoon traffic noise until the early morning hours was horrendous. I never need ear plugs, but decided to try using them to absolute no avail to block the noise. I believe it is a recurring problem in the CBD. Hope this problem can be addressed.

Not the same attention to detail with cleaning as we’ve experienced in apartments we’ve stayed this time in other parts of Tasmania. Microwave was not working and then replaced after speaking with a second staff member.

The level of service and attention to detail was impressive. We had a 3 day walk planned inbetween our stay. The team ensured we could leave knowing our luggage was accommodated and our return was seamless.
