Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe external window could have been cleaner which would have made for a nicer view. The hair dryer in the bathroom was missing essential parts (although I acknowledge that these could have been removed by other guests). Room cleaning service came later in the day than we expected. These are all minor issues which did not affect the overall enjoyment of the stay, which was very high.
Every staff member was exceptional. The room was comfortable and well-sized with a reasonable view and the bed itself was great. We ate breakfast downstairs at Parlour one morning which was good. We ate dinner one evening at Gowings which was excellent. I enjoyed the layout and design of the room and the overall vibe of the hotel. The location literally could not be better. I loved the addition of a Marshall bluetooth speaker in the room - this was a great touch. A fun and easy stay; I would happily recommend this stay to others.

Fabulous location, close to shopping & cafes, next to QVB, the Galleries, MECCA next door, 1 min walk to Westfield Mall, at the same time nice & quiet in the room. We arrived early & went for breakfast at The Grounds (excellent) though they have a restaurant in the hotel it is fancy. The staff were lovely & called us to say the room was ready early. Bathroom was great with large bath, black robes, dyson hair dryer.

AustraliaWord of warning on car parking if you are planning to self drive - park at the Wilson Secure Parking on 271 Pitt Street (short walk to hotel). The parking is cheaper and is open 24 hours. Validate your card and pay for parking at the reception desk before you leave. The parking at 55 Market street is enter with credit card only and you may be told to go somewhere else by the parking attendant (like we were). You will need to exit with the same credit card, but there was no charge within a few minutes of entering. On the second night we stayed there was thumping music coming from somewhere. It was annoying, but it didn't last past 11pm.
The hotel was quirky, moody and a little seductive. The king room was large and spacious with a delightful bath tub to relax in. The central location was ideal for shopping and visiting the NSW Art Gallery (walking distance) or other attractions like the QVB. The bed was soft, but comfortable. There were blackout curtains, which aided a good nights sleep. Free Wi-Fi and you can share cast to the TV from your mobile device. Breakfast was wonderful and I recommend the crumpets and the Love Beets juice. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Amazing vibe. Room was spacious, allowing lots of room to manoeuvre a pram. The bathroom has lots of bench space, and the bath was a decent size. I was impressed by the room soundproofing so others could not hear my crying infant. Location was superb - close to Myer, QVB, and other shopping.
