a lot of traffic noise in apartment 50. Kitchenette - not really. Very sparse utensils. Crockery very hit and miss. Cooking appliance ie frying pan seen better days. Bathroom adequate but a little tired.

lovely views lovely location. comfy beds. new renos in living area. Balcony has lovely views back up the river. Woolworths supermarket less than 10 min walk. Lots of eateries nearby. Hoppo ferry right next door, travels up and down the river all day.

The apartment is rather tired and needs maintenance. No detergent, dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent or rubbish bags when we arrived. We don’t expect much but when there are reminders posted around the place to to leave the place clean and tidy, take out rubbish and recycling etc, I expect the property to provide the wherewithal for you to keep it clean.

Loved the location. Close to Cavill mall, the beach, supermarket etc. Great views, spacious apartment.

What I didn't like about my stay was the lack of cleanliness to the apartment and in particular the bathrooms (the main bedroom has an ensuite) and the kitchen was very dirty. Thankfully I only wanted to use the fridge as went out with friends for meals. I was also unable to find a blanket for the bed and it only had a top sheet on it, I ended up using a blanket from one of the 2 single beds to put over where I was sleeping. The outside of the dishwasher was disgusting, have no idea what the inside looked like didn't need it so stayed clear of it. The one time I wanted to use a teaspoon it all the rest of the cutlery was disgusting and I had to give it a good clean. I think alot of the cleaning is up to the people that rented the apartment before you! Around all the taps was dirty, I bought cleaner so I could make sure the bathroom vanities were clean before using. It is 43yrs old but the kitchen although left dirty was updated, there was a dining table for 6 in good order and a lounge suite that was quite old and you just sunk so far into it, with my bad knees I did have some effort in getting off the couch. The blackout curtains in both bedrooms were torn and didn't close properly, I'm glad I was a solo traveler as the 2nd bedroom with 2 beds and was very small, the blackout curtains were so torn they didn't even meet in the middle. Remeber to take bulldog clips with you to keep the shut in the main bedroom and you may need to use a few of them for the 2nd bedroom.

Had an awesome stay at Moorings on Cavill... I traveled with friends (went from Melbourne up to Surfers for my grand daughters calisthenics team to compete). I had booked a one bedroom budget room however, upon arrival I was upgraded to a two bedroom budget apartment and WOW the views were spectacular. Both bedrooms and the living area had the best views over looking a river and NO other buildings, being a budget 2 bedroom it was on a lower level but the views were still amazing. The location was awesome just a short stroll to the beach, the Mooring on Cavill is totally at the opposite end of Cavill Ave than what the beach is. It's on it's own over the other side of Gold Coast Hwy which actually doesn't even appear to be a street... you just have to cross the highway and within a couple of minutes you're in the action and nightlife of Surfers Paradise. Don't be fooled by maps that show it's an avenue outside the Moorings... there is a lovely 'Surfers Paradise' sign and a dead end and that's where you'll find the Moorings. I had a king bed, which was 2 singles pushed together, the bed was comfortable though and I hadn't been able to fit my pillow in my luggage but out of the 4 on the bed I found the perfect one for me. I liked that it had Foxtel as I find so many places do say streaming channels and yet don't always have them, the WiFi in the apartment was good. There was a pool with a BBQ area however I didn't use either. Also loved that there was a washing machine and dryer in a very old laundry inside the apartment, that was a huge bonus as I had no dirty washing to take home.

The traffic noise, ambulance sirens police sirens when it’s very loud to sleep. Especially over a weekend away, the night club Nextdoor, the sounds of crowds talking, the music doesn’t die down until roughly about 3 am in the morning on Sunday.

Close to the main strip of Cavill 👍 walking distance to everything nearby. 😍

The reason we were there was because my Son was playing football in QLD, one day after footy I let him into the pool area to have a spa and as I was walking back to the lift the lady at the front desk yelled ‘what age were the children you let into the pool area I realised she was talking to me and I said 15 and she goes Mnnn and the other one I said it was just one boy. She seemed satisfied with that however I felt like I just been scolded and wanted to leave and go home. Honestly there was no need for her to say this me, he is 15 and 6ft tall and very capable to go into the spa alone.

Excellent location, spacious apartment, extra bonus it had an ensuite, we didn’t cook but it had all you need to prepare meals and a lovely bbq area, parking space.

No light in one of the rooms, fans run at snail pace. Starter pack provision is inadequate even though they say that's all they provide, not good enough to say that. Sofa in poor condition, dining setting should be better. Bathroom amenities excluding linen should be better. We used our own.

It was in a great location, we had a two bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, a fabulous view overlooking the river, close to everything, it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to make our holiday memorable! The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Little items such as salt, pepper, oil, foil and gladwrap were not available as basics in the apartment, and only one tea towel provided, and no oven mitts. Minor items that were easily overcome.

We loved the river view and spaciousness of the apartment. The bed was comfortable, as was the couch. The Wifi and phone reception was perfect whilst working during our stay. Huge TV was a bonus. Great close walking distance to all we required.

The staff were so friendly, especially the reception ladies were so welcoming and so warm. We felt so comfortable and such a friendly environment. The views were amazing .
