Distance from carpark and no microwave. A ceiling fan would be good; room became stuffy overnight.

Spacious room, beds good. From Car Park to room quite a distance to carry luggage; a couple of trolleys would be a sensible addition. Disappointed there was no microwave. Staff very helpful with a room change. Restaurant meal a big plus; Seafood Chowder scrumptious...compliments to the Chef. Breakfast lovely. Garden Walk special. Son used the pool for his daily 30 lengths. Some distance out of town could be a minus but suited us at the time.

The furniture and floorings are rundown and in need of a good clean or upholster.

Love the gardens and location. The staff were lovely. Lilly at reception was exceptional!

The (unintentional) shabby-chic look didn’t worry us though the carpet stains in the main dining room were a bit off-putting. The walking distance from the parking area is a negative.

Enjoyed the spacious suite (Room 120) with pleasant leafy outlook and the fireplace was a treat on a cool late October evening. Lovely gardens though less extensive than we had imagined.

We were quite disappointed with breakfast. There were no eggs and we had advised the wait staff and they were still not refilled by the time we left, a good half hour later. The food was cold by the time we sat down. The coffee machine was also broken. Overall the food was not bad we were just hoping for a bit more value food wise.

The location was stunning. Outside was beautiful and well manicured.

The building, while beautifully kept, was a bit dated and the sound proofing between rooms was poor. You could hear when people next door were showering or watching TV. Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken on both mornings when we were there, and the spa was closed so we never got to try it.

The grounds and gardens were beautiful and picturesque. The building was beautiful and the room was clean. The breakfast was basic but good.

Shower was over the bath but it had a good hand rail. Not easy for older people. Restaurant fully booked bet we were able to have in room dining at no extra cost. A bit far from town centre, but we only one night.

Lovely property, large rooms well furnished. Beautiful garden setting.

The rooms need an upgrade as the lounge chairs had holes in it. Also the showers need a revamp too. There should be some water bottles in the room. Needs a bit of cleaning around the patio of the pool.

Beautiful location to relax and lovely gardens. It is very tranquil setting . The restaurant had tasty meals and the steak was cooked to perfection. The bar staff were friendly. Comfy beds in the room and spacious.

Poor maintenance. It was advertised as having a spa and tennis court. Spa was shut and the tennis courts were a safety hazard with lifting surface and slip hazard surface. Felt is was deceptive advertising. Restaurant had only 3 main course choices that did not change during the week

gym and sauna was closed for renovations during the visit. The location is quite far from anything and everything. We stayed in the main building and if you want to go to the pool, you have to go out and walk to get there, it was cold that time and at some point raining so you'll be exposed going to and from the pool.

We arrived on a Friday to check out on Sunday. The first breakfast on Saturday was a buffet and it was great. It has the standard fare, bacon, scrambled eggs, dried tomatoes, crispy potatoes, sausages, a selection of jams and a selection of breads. It was a good spread. On Sunday, it was quite different, the breakfast was a la carte but was still good. I chose the scambled eggs with the bacon and the works. On both days I asked for hot chocolate, and I helped myself to some apple juice. The room was large, the TV works, there's a small fridge, and water kettle with some selection of teas and decaf coffee. The pool was heated, I just think that it could be hotter considering that it was too cold when we visited. The parking was adequate, it was quite full that weekend due to a wedding party. The parking was just dirt in the back corner of the property.

It would be good to have some non-bath options for people who want to shower without climbing in and out of the bath. Some seats have lost all internal support. Additional gardeners are required.

Magnificent trees! Walking around the gardens was a delight. The breakfast choices were the best I have experienced. We enjoyed being able to use the common spaces (verandas, polo room, billiards room). It felt like being guests in a 19th century country manor.

The dinner menu at the restaurant was quite limited but what we eat was good however the service can be improved. I would say the same for the day time staff at Reception except for the evening staff. The first night we were disturbed by a constant noise from the toilet which hadn't been resolved by the day-time staff. However it was promptly fixed by the night time staff and we had a better night's sleep.

An old world country house surrounded by lush gardens and park with fireplace, pool room and bar. In a quiet country setting. The setting has a European feel to it. The continental buffet breakfast and service was good. The access to a Tesla charger (and Porche).
